Canada's Bill C-2 has many Bummed Our Man, as many who enjoy a Joint while cruising fear they will be profiled by the police for their lifestyle.  One man says, "I look like Jesus", so of course I  will be targetted for harrassment by Police.  To that I say "Well, ya think?"  If you enjoy draweing attention to yourself, what would you expect?

Whether smoking a joint behind the wheel or not, driving around like you are the second coming is certainly going to draw attention to yourself.

Just as a guy driving up to a Fast food Drive thru window with the munchies, wearing a "Ski mask and a Tiara" with one of those Beer Can and straw attachments on your head,  would certainly Profile you as either a Robber or a Looney.  No profling necessary, just common sense is needed to pick you out of the thousand of drivers who look normal.

If you Toke and Drive, your actions will give you away pronto, you are most likely impaired and need to be off the road.

Feds tackle toking and driving with new impaired driving rules

By BETH JOHNSTON, SUN MEDIA

Police will have the right to demand a blood or urine sample from people they think are stoned while driving starting the day after Canada Day.

Bill C-2, the Tackling of Violent Crime Act, will come into force July 2. It will toughen existing impaired driving laws in what some people praise as a step forward and others criticize as infringing on personal rights.

"It pre-emptively prevents me from driving at all," said medicinal marjiuana user Russell Barth.

Barth concedes that some inexperienced, teenage pot smokers shouldn't be behind the wheel, but he fears the changes will lead to police profiling drivers with "unconventional haircuts."

"I look like Jesus," said the hirsute 39-year-old.

I would think that a carful of smoke would be the ganja giveaway, but of course I could be wrong. If people want to get high, I honestly don't care, but don't do it in a way that is going to hurt those around you, i.e. crashing into us out of nowhere with a two-ton vehicle!

Thanks Jordan for the visit, but try telling that to the Opponents who say marijuana is a harmless drug, or course they will say Cars kill people, not Dopers.

Barry Artiste, I like this story. It's good stuff.  If someone is on medication that affects their ability to drive, they shouldn't get behind the wheel, period.  If their medication is marijuana or tranquilizers it's all the same to me if they T-bone me at an intersection.  If they run over my puppy or my kid while impaired I'd be real annoyed with them.  Good for the gov't to pass this legislation.

Thanks Barbara, many detractors are against it, and they are the ones most likely to T-Bone you.
