Isn't Multiculturalism and Diversity, just the Cat's Meow? It's not like the Canadian Government has not told Canadians for decades in the media and on their websites, that when in another country, Beware! You are under their Laws, Culture and Customs and so are any children you may have.
Many Clueless Canadians believe that because they are Canadian, Canadian Law and Multiculture and Diversity Wholesomeness travels with them. Yep, Stunned People, are Clueless People. But try telling that to all the Lefty McTards, who vouch that Canada should embrace other Cultures and their customary Laws insisting they should be integrated into Canadian Society, even if many Cultures believe woman are no more than Breeding Stock like so many Cattle and treated as such!
These Leftards though scream racism if Canadians try to circumvent other Cultures who try to impose their cultural beliefs, laws and traditions on Canadian culture. Though remain supportive and silent of other countries whose Cultures and laws leave a lot to be desired, never insisting their Countries follow Canadas example of Lefty Ideology! Now, How Apre Peu is that?
Certainly many Canadians think since Canada is so damn Hunky Dory as a Showcase of Group Cultural Hugs and Kisses, that the World should follow Canada's Example of Down Home Gosh Darn live and let live Lefty Philosphy. I guess these World Cultures didn't get that Lefty Email! Hence why many rely on our Government and Tax Dollars to bail their sorry asses out!
MMMMM I'm in Cultural Flavour Country! But then I have visited many of these countries in my profession and know of their laws and cultures and know which ones to avoid.
Bottom Line, if Multiculturalism and Diversity is so Groovy, how come Canada is one of the very few who subscribe to it? Of course Europe got all groovy with it at one time, and how is that working out for them?
In a perfect world, it would be nice to pick the good parts of another culture and ingrain it into another society, but then one is not allowed to pick and choose, and is forced to pick both the good and bad aspects of another culture if one wants true Multiculturalism.
But then we are not living in a Perfect World now are we?

Deepak Obhrai, parliamentary secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon, met with Morin and her Saudi husband, Abdallah Ramthi Al-Bishi, in Saudi Arabia on Dec. 22 to mediate in the couple’s dispute, a Foreign Affairs spokesperson told Canwest News Service last night.

Shoot, Barry, the Saudis treat their breeding stock much better than women or girls. They would never force their mares to wear a huge bag covering them from head to foot, nor breed their foals or colts before reaching maturity. Nor beat them for infractions.

Renee' right, how horrible for this girl. She had to know before she left something about the country & the culture. I worked for a Pakistani (not to offend anyone if spelled wrong)man very nice and giving but when it came to affection and feelings to be shown he just didn't do it and none of the other employees did either. Pleasant people though made you feel at home around them.

I was not that well educated on Islamic sharia law back in the 60s, but I knew enough to turn down a marriage proposal from an incredibly good-looking Iranian.
'Why not?' he asked.
'Because you can have four wives and divorce me whenever you want,' I answered.
"Oh, we don't do that anymore,' he claimed. This was in the time of the Shah, btw.
'Maybe not,' said I, 'But you can.' and remember this was also before civil rights and the feminist movement.
So this woman was a fool to go there, much less marry him. Love or no love.

Canada (its politicians) work very hard to implement the multiculturalism ideology while many other countries in the world try all they can to get out of it.
So far Canada has been able to satisfy the Hutterites allowing them to have no real ID card since they claim that their God prohibits any picture of them to be taken. Our Supreme Court(well paid judges and lawyers) said that it made a lot of sense. Any want to be terrorist only have to convert to Hutterrites.
We also have laws in Canada that forces many workers to wear safety garments like hard hats as an example.You wear it or pay fines. But not if your religion says that your God says you cant wear it. The Supreme Court says so.
Many organisations require their workers to wear a uniform. But if your religion says you cant wear it then you dont have to. Take the RCMP for an example. The Supreme Court says so.
We all know that polygamy is illegal here. Unless your religion our culture ask for the contrary. Lawyers and judges say that we need to help all cultures coming from abroad to feel at home in our country.
It is illegal for any kid to carry any type of gun, knife and the likes. Especially while at school. Unless your religion says the contrary. Again the Supreme Court says so.
In Canada men and women swim in the same place at the same time. Unless your religion says women have to be separated from men. The Supreme Court says so.
In Canada we have laws well in place that prohibit a man from beating his wife or girlfriend. We also have people that read their Holy Book where it is said the contrary.
I could go on and on but I think you get the point here. And the point is that if we all keep on doing nothing to stop the judges and lawyers a day will come where in Canada we will say a married man owns his wife . If his religion says so. And if judges and lawyers agree. And if our politicians keep on just watch it go.
That day my friend it will be too late. Multiculturalism means hell on earth.
