There are cardinal rules we were all taught when growing up by our parents, here is a brief list of mandatory No, No's:
As a Child we were taught:
- Never Run with Scizzors
- Look both ways when crossing the street
- Don't swim, until an hour after eating
- Never talk to strangers
As Teens we were taught
- Drugs are Bad
- Never swim with sharks
- Never Fart on a first Date
- Never talk to Strangers
As Adults, we see News and Movies about:
- Kidnapping, Rapes.
- Terrorism, Wars and Political unrest.
- Jumping out a plane without a parachute is not a good idea, unless you're Superman.
- Don't walk in a dark alley, especially in a bad area.
- Oh Yeah, if you as a foreigner go to Mexico or South America, Middle East, Russia or any third world country, you'll most likely get kidnapped for Ransom.
Now am I missing something here? Was this guy "Fu*kin Amish"? Did he never read or watch the news?
You know, it is not like this is a new development in Columbia, why anyone would leave the security of their home country for a country known to kidnap foreigners is to say the least "NUTS"!
Here is a NewsFlash to anyone considering going to Columbia, bring lots of cash, have it hanging out of your pockets when you step off the plane, put your hands in the air and go to the nearest Taxi and ask the Cab Driver take you to the nearest FARC or ELN Hideout~! The FARC and ELN will appreciate your consideration, if not your stupidity !

A Canadian citizen has been missing for nine days in Colombia and is believed to have been kidnapped.
Unconfirmed reports have identified the man as being from Ottawa.
Foreign Affairs spokesperson Eugenie Cormier-Lassonde would not verify the man's hometown, but said that consular officials were advised earlier this week that a Canadian citizen in Colombia had been reported missing.
"Officials at the Canadian Embassy in Bogota are in contact with the Colombian authorities responsible for the investigation," the spokesperson said in an e-mailed statement.
"Consular officials have been in contact with the family and consular assistance is being provided."
