Let me ask you a couple of questions. What kind of milieu do you think would be more productive, and work better for all people involved: A room of ten people fighting with one another, or a room of ten people working cooperatively and consensualy with each other? Herein's my other question for you. Similarly, which milieu do you think would be more productive, and work better for all people involved: A community comprised of people who are fighting each other, in a state of broad-based conflict; or a community whose members work together in an empathetic and mutualistic manner?

So you think capitalism comes down merely to one thing?  Fight or co-operate?  That's a bit simplistic isnt it?

Do you have any convincing evidence of cooperatives that work and can increase their productivity?  I know plenty that don't work or rely on guilt (an interesting study of the Kibbutz movement where guilt was a driving force).

You are welcomed to read the book 'Capitalism is Not Democracy' which critically explores areas related to the cited article. Capitalism is a eugenic-inspired survival of the fittest economic prism. If you would like to ignore well documented destruction of our planet Earth, that capitalism has been responsible for, that is your prerogative.

The article also cites 'cooperation' and does not specifically present a defence of "co-operatives", which have been organized within sanctioned legal structures associated with the prevailing capitalist system. So, it seems, that your very own reading of the cited article, is rather, lacking a nuanced appreciation. Perhaps if you were less of an apparent zealot/dissembler in defence of capitalism, you would better be able to critically appreciate the prospective intellectual contribution of the cited article.

Oh yeah...co-operative systems, aka communism, have run flawlessly wherever they have been implemented. No corruption, no waste, lots of innovation, etc. It's been utopia wherever the scourge of capitalism has been eliminated!

The article did not refer to 'communism'.  I think you might wish to consider improving your reading skills.
