The car was paid for in cash, but police have been able to track down an e-mail and phone number for this man and now they want to interview him. According to NBC, they want to know if the man has any 'opinions' on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The seller of the Nissan described the buyer as "Middle-Eastern or Hispanic looking," said one one official. Investigators stress, however, that they still don't know if the buyer of the car is the man who drove the car into Times Square.
Police have not named this man who purchased the Nissan Pathfinder a suspect, but they do want to question him and they do know he made calls overseas recently, but it could have been to relatives.
The previous owner of the SUV is not a suspect and police do want to stress that just because the car was sold recently to someone new, does not mean that person drove the car in to Times Square with the intent to detonate a bomb.
