The Kumari is a young girl in Nepal who is recognized as a living incarnation of the Hindu Goddess (in all her forms -- Parvati, Durga, etc), who resides in this amazing little courtyard house on the south side of Kathmandu's Durbar square. Not being a Hindu, i am of course not allowed to actually SEE the goddess, but i can go into the courtyard and take pictures of the amazingly well-preserved woodcarving inside. Which i did.
