Case Unclosed: Eliseo Soriano seeking Brazilian Citizenship

Eliseo Soriano, the fugitive defunct leader of the cult Ang Dating Daan is now a legal Brazilian resident and is apparently seeking Brazilian Citizenship, as reported by a Philippine based TV News magazine Case Unclosed. Since there is no extradition agreement between Brazil and the Philippines, Soriano can live a relatively free life, much like other fugitives who made Brazil their haven.
“It was my spiritual birthday. He summoned me and I went thinking he was going to give me a gift. As it turned out, that was the gift. The same thing he did to me the previous year.” Veridiano lamented."
This was the revelation of the subordinate, with sadness still reflected in his eyes. One can only imagine the grief that victims of rape must carry in their heart.
“It was in May of 2000 when he summoned me to his room. I was shocked at what followed. At that time I couldn’t resist his advances. There is a teaching in Ang Dating Daan which says the messenger of God does not commit sin, whatever he does to you is right and just. At that time, I was really terrified of him and there also is a teaching in Ang Dating Daan that one must do what Soriano tells him to do, at all times. Obey him, otherwise you’ll be cursed. Something really really bad will happen to you if you disobey this supposed messenger of God.", Veridiano said.
“Rape was the charge. Is it true, or is it a case of libel?” continues host Arnold Clavio. “The case cannot proceed if the accused is not present because the accused needs to be arraigned in court” so say the lawyers of the subordinate. The subordinate thinks that if Soriano was in the Philippines, he will surely be in jail based on the evidences against him.
Clavio said he tried to contact Eli Soriano or any of his representatives to get their side of the story but did not get any response.
“If I don’t fight and speak up a lot of people will be in danger, and they need to know what he really is and that he is not sinless and he is not true.” the subordinate continues.
As expected, Soriano and his supporters are decrying the broadcast of this particular episode saying it was an injustice to Soriano that a major TV network would produce such an program. Clavio reiterated that Soriano's side of the story was sought numerous times but their repeated telephone, fax and mail request were left unanswered.

Isn't it a greater injustice that Soriano would run from the law, denying his accuser of the relief the helpless seek from courts of law from the pain suffered in the hands of their attackers? The victims cry for justice remains.

How can Eliseo answer back when in fact if he speaks about this matter in public, he will be in danger of contempt of court? How foolish it is for GMA to say that they want his opinion about a case which is in fact NOT unclosed and still very active???
GMA 7 has become a puppet of the Iglesia ni Cristo which obviously cannot defend their faith and just uses influence to obstruct justice ..
No wonder, they used Arnold Clavio .. he truly looks like a real puppet ...

There is nothing stopping the Philippines signing an extradition agreement between Brazil and the Philippines. Brazil wants to improve its image and does not want to be known as haven for fugitives.

Bro. Eli is not a fugitive.... instead he is just suffering from religious persecution in the Philippines, where its government are bending for the Iglesia ni Manalo cultic influence around the country.
Its clearly manifested on the tv episode case unclosed. The Case Unclosed tv program is devise to brought up vintage cases which seems to be perpetually archives. The rape case against Bro. Eli Soriano have been withdrawn for insufficient evidence but it has been re filed by then Secretary of inJustice siRaulo Gonzales upon the dictate of the Iglesia ni Manalo. Up to now the cases against the good man, together with the witnesses are continously recieve a support from the influential cult Iglesia ni Manalo.
I'm just wondering, maybe in the spirit of fairness, that GMA7 should show in their Case Unclosed tv program hosted by Arnold Clavio the very historical case of Felix Manalo who have been charged of raping among others of a certain Rosita Trillanes and Teresa Teodoro.
That is the true Case Unclosed.

Good advice for those that belong to either of the religious cults that are giving argument in reference to Bro Eli. Both organizations are religious businesses and the leaders lead very good wealthy lives from the proceeds given by their followers.
1. If you believe in god or gods, cut out the middle men as they want your money and pray direct.
2. Buy your religions holy book and read it from cover to cover.

90% said they had not read Bible 8% said they had read verses in the bible and 2% said they had read the bible from cover to cover. Yet all the subjects said they where Christians. Blind faith is wonderful?

reported Eliseo Soriano was put on the Bureau of Immigration watchlist.
May 2006, Soriano was indicted on rape charges at the regional trial court acomplaint filed by former MCGI assistant secretary general Daniel Veridiano that he was sexually assaulted ,two occasions.
November 2006, an arrest warrant was issued against Soriano by Judge Lucina Dayaon
August 29, 2008, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that Soriano and two others were sued for violation of Art. 171, Revised Penal Code of the Philippines (falsification of public documents) at the Manila City Prosecutor's Office. It was discovered that the arresting officer, PO3 June Gumaru, and Soriano's secretary, Belen Talentado, conspired in faking the certificate of detention to permit his release by posting bail for his rape case. PO3 Gumaru admitted in a sworn affidavit that he had never seen the church group leader, that Soriano did not really surrender to him, and that he is, in fact, still a fugitive.
August 2008, a "Red Notice"[18] was issued against him by the International Police Commission (Interpol). Eliseo "Eli" Soriano is in hiding and is now an international fugitive.
An International Arrest Warrant was issued against him.
