I moved from Massachusetts to Florida recently and still cannot comprehend the incompetency, stupidly, and down right lack of common sense of a large segment of the Florida population. When I tell my friends up North what it has been like just trying to get a telephone and Internet account or find a good doctor, they are in disbelief. Many times, I have felt that I've been transported to another planet, or am, at best, an ex-pat.To learn that the jury for Casey Anthony has found her not-guilty reinforces my belief that Florida contains the belly of the belly of bottom-feeders. As a professor, I knew that once Cheney Mason showed his very simple "visual" of a thermometer-like drawing, with red at the top for GUILTY, and descending colors of blue to represent degrees of guiltiness, the jury would respond. In fact, I groaned when I saw his chart because it is similar to the ones primary school teachers use to explain things to Kindergarten or first grade children. At least Scott Peterson is behind bars. If he were not, he would be a perfect match for Casey Anthony. The party's not over yet. Someone as diabolical as she will dig her own grave eventually.

Luke 17:2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. This is crazy!!! God will be the final judge.

I agree. I am also from the Boston area and lived in Miami for 12 years so I agree on the culture shock. When I heard the verdict I wanted to vomit. It is beyond my imagination that any normal person-let alone 12 of them- could have sat through the trial and found that evil baby killer innocent. I am in SHOCK.

Nancy Grace is the PT Barnum of the legal system. I have no respect for her. She is about ratings and the bigger the drama, the bigger the ratings. Her rages bore the tar out of me. The prosecution didn't prove their case. That is all that this about. We really don't know what the truth is. We do know a little girl died and that is something that there should be some justice for. But people need to understand that unless the prosecution can prove their case, you can't toss someone into jail or end their life because it makes us feel better to have someone to blame and pin it on. Be enraged about the baby being dead. But the prosecution did not do it's job...maybe be enraged at them.

I agree, Cindy. They didnt prove there case. We may never know what really happened. As for Nancy Grace, Im glad she is not a judge. She's judges everything with emotion. And her eye brows creep me out!

Nancy Grace is a large blow hard, but does not change the fact that casey anthony is very guilty and the fact the prosecution did a fine job. Laid everything out in a manner like Denzel's character in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Philadelphia, "explain to me if I was 5 what happen". However the jury did not even have the critical thinking skills of a 5 year old. Listen to these jurors speak. The foreman in an interview last night that they think Cindy did not lie about the computer searches even though "evidence" of computer records and a witness, her boss show Cindy would only of had 15 mins before being logged out of work, and Winter Park is 30 mins one way to their home. So don't spread that bs that the state failed, it was the jury that failed in this situation.

Although surprised by the verdict (I predicted manslaughter) I think justice, as valued by the USA, has been served. I worked as a Paralegal for close to 20 years. I think prosecutors. police depts. and media need to be more open minded before they crucify someone for a crime. In NC, where I live, just recently we've had the horrible accusations of the Duke lacrosse team, and a young man accused of killing his wife.(He had a hung jury...8 to 4 for not guity) The knee jerk reaction nowadays seems to be that the perpetrator has to be the mother, father, husband, wife, lover, etc and no further investigation is done. Invetigators need to be more specific and careful in the info they gather and how it is presented to a jury. Now that she has been exhonorated, I hope Casey can somhow carve a decent life out of what is left of her world.

Knee jerk reaction? how in the world do you explain her not reporting her 2 year old daughter missing for 31 days?! And out partying it up like life is great. oh wait im sorry - life is beautiful according to her lovely tattoo that she got during that time. i have a 3 year old and if he went missing for a second, let alone THIRY ONE DAYS, the last thing i would be doing is partying and getting 'beautiful life" tattoos. And I am also a young mother. This woman is a pathological liar and she tortured for the horrendous crime she has committed. That poor sweet little beautiful baby girl will now never get justice because her mother is a lying deceiving pathetic excuse for a human being.

I am sickened by the thought that this murderer was not held accountable for her actions. I'm putting my faith in the ultimate judgment of the highest power. Casey Anthony will then reap what she's sown. I cannot believe these 12 people made the decisions they did. I do not understand and perhaps never will. This "justice" is reminiscent of O.J. Simpson's trial and verdict ... in relation to the members of the jury and the guilty defendent. The state of Florida's procecutors could not have presented the case any more effectively. Their dedication, labor, and search for justice have inspired and impressed me. The judge in this case is a wise and honest man. The defendant's attorneys, on the other hand, comprimised their integrity I believe. They will have to live with that. We will not forget Caylee; she will be avenged. And she will always be loved by people from all different backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, etc. whom she did not even know. You are in our hearts, Caylee!

Do you know without a doubt that Casey was the murderer? Were you there to witness it? Was anyone? Before you people start judging someone else you need to take a step back and look at the case. The prosecution simply did not prove a damn thing. Yes, we know she didn't report her missing. Yes, we know she lied. This is enough for aggravated child neglect at the least, yes. However, not enough to convict someone of murder. I believe just as much as the next guy that she's guilty as sin, but any smart reasonable person could see from the beginning it would never go through the court. Theres just not enough evidence.

Let's see. So Caylee taped her own mouth, carried 3 bags to the swamp, tied herself up and jumped in. Smell in the trunk, just a pizza gone bad??? Casey will be home for Friday morning breakfast. OMG. Bob's right, they should have acquitted her of lying, what the heck. Unbelievable.

People in Florida are stupid. What needs to happen is not one person or book company should publish anything from thius family. Yet we will make them millionaires. Are we now going to chaerge George Anthony for the murder? Was it Lee? Or Cindy? All I can say is that I say let Scott Peterson go. Did we ever prove how he killed his wife?

well so you say the prosecution didn't have enough evidence to convict her. Well, you must be kidding. She is very self centered and a huge liar. By her not reporting it for 30 days, in my book that's neglect. Jose Baez promised we would know the truth about Caylee and what happened. Well, imagine clubbing, going to parties, and just having a grand old time, Caylee was the last thing on her mind. The evidence was there, they just didn't get it right. Now one juror said they were sick to their stomachs about the not guilty verdict. She went on to say that what influenced her to vote not guilty, was the death penalty. Little do they know that should have nothing to do with this phase of the trial. I would love to bitch slap her. Where is the justice for Caylee? Who are they going to try now for her death? She is going to have to hide to survive. No one wants her. Yet I hear she would love to have more children. REALLY!!!! Why doesn't she try getting a pet first and see how that goes, and if she couldn't handle that task, they don't have any children. They should of made sure her tubes were tied. This also gets me, is the jury that sat on this one the same OJ Simpson had? Well you all sure acted like it. Look hun, your no bag of chips to begin with. You letting your hair down thinking you were leaving the other day, who are dressing for? As for Jesse Grund stating the family was dysfunctional with high standards to become a responsible adult. Look I made the dysfunctional family. Kidding of course, but come on. keep bringing excuses for her behavior. She literally threw her parents under the bus and the fact her mother tried to see her, which was pretty stupid to being with, I think she wont be able to face her family, regardless of what happened, Sorry to say, if I were her parents I would pack her things and set them out on the curb. Now stop blaming others, its a different story everyday. The other atty who seems to be running his mouth everywhere, do me a favor, you adopt her, let her take care of your children, I guess if she got bored doing that, she could find away for them not to get in the way, she would ditch them. No justice was served what so ever. I would love to smack her right across her lying mouth, add some soap to her mouth. Or how about letting her stay in the trunk of her car where Caylee was. Let her smell death, let her realize she is a crazy witch. I don't wish her the best, but, get the hell out of where ever you think you can go to live. You wont make it!!! Now go away and be done. Wait till she meets her maker. Isnt going to be pretty. I would never forgive someone who took the life a 2yr who could not defend herself. Caylee is probably saying now, why me mommy, why? How sad
