Casey Anthony Video Diary from October 2011 Emerges

Casey Anthony is back. A video diary recorded by Casey Anthony is now making the internet rounds, after popping up on Facebook. The clip went mainstream on the Today Show, and has spread like wildfire since then.

In the video, Casey Anthony has short blonde hair and is wearing glasses. She mentions that she's in hiding, and that she had adopted a dog.

The Today Show bills the clip as "Casey Anthony Speaks out for the first time" since her acquittal in the Caylee Anthony murder trial, but it doesn't look like the vlog was meant for a large audience.

In the video, Casey Anthony says, "I’m extremely excited,” she says. “I’m excited that I’ll be able to Skype and obviously keep a video log, take some pictures and that I have something that I can finally call mine. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to call something mine.”

In the video, Casey Anthony doesn't mention Caylee at all.

Where Did This Casey Anthony Video Come From?

The video was reposted to YouTube by a third party (not by Casey Anthony, and apparently not by the person who shared the video via Facebook originally); its comment thread is pretty much what you would expect: the general level of antipathy toward Anthony, run through a YouTube-comment filter. It's ugly.

The video was apparently filmed in October 2011. The Today Show says that it has confirmed that the woman in the video is indeed Casey Anthony. What's up with that red text? Is it a clickable ad? If so, could The Today Show not get hold of the original video, i.e. the one actually recorded by Casey Anthony? Someone in hiding would not be advertising "Up-to-date news & video from around the-world & Casey Anthony [sic]".
