Caspian Airlines Crash: 'Many Dead' updated
All 168 passengers and crew have died in a Caspian Airlines plane crash in the north of Iran, officials say.
Wreckage was spread over a large area in a field in Jannatabad village, Qazvin province, about 75 miles (120km) north-west of Tehran, state TV said.
The Tupolev plane was flying from the Iranian capital to Yerevan in Armenia, with mostly Armenian passengers.
The cause of the crash, which happened soon after take-off, was not known. Witnesses said it dropped from the sky.
No survivors the plane plummeted to the ground and exploded on impact, there have been no reports of fowl play as yet, it would seem to just a very tragic and unfortunate accident caused by pilot error or a electric or mechanical malfunction as the plane seemingly in one piece before impact.
Remembering an article concerning an attempt to place a bomb a day or so ago, the early reports gave an unfounded view that this crash could of been an attempt of terrorism, but that is very doubtful and made so by news updates after the news broke on the wires.
TEHRAN, Iran - Security personnel defused a homemade bomb found on an aircraft during a domestic flight in Iran late on Saturday, Iranian media said, two days after a mosque bombing killed 25 people in the country's southeast.
This link to BBC news has been constantly updated live by the BBC and i have now uploaded videos from the scene of the crash. The damage and wreckage is so awesome that I fear the black boxes may of been destroyed and that of course will be confirmed if that is the case or not as more news comes in from the media in Iran.
