Fidel Castro will not be around
much longer and his brother
Raul, the current president is
also old. When both are gone
maybe change can occur in
Cuba.
The seven-paragraph essay discusses the inauguration and coming term of President Obama, a topic Castro also addressed in an edition of "Reflections" published Wednesday.
"I've had the rare privilege to observe events over a long time," Castro wrote. "I receive information and think about the events. I don't expect to have that privilege in four years when Obama's first term has finished."

I think it all depends on who is going to take over.

True, Raul Castro's designated successor is 74 but he will not have the standing of the Castros and may be removed.

Cuba did have a great many changes as is and will have more no doubt. Castro will remain most likely a light to look up to for Cuba.

Castro did accomplish some good but at the cost of freedom.
He is admired now but if a more conservative group takes over Cuba in the future that may change. But in world history he will be long remembered.
