An explosion in a music shop in Hayatabad Township in Peshawar, capital of Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province, Sunday afternoon.

PESHAWAR: Four persons were injured as destroyed a shop of compact discs (CDs) in Bilal Market at Hayatabad neighbourhood in Peshawar, capital city of Pakistan's troubled North West Frontier Province (NWFP), Sunday afternoon. "The explosion occurred at around 4:20 p.m. It was apparently a planted device, which suddenly went off causing fear among residents of the area," a police officer said. A resident of the area said it might be an explosion of gas cylinder but police confirmed that an explosive device was planted at Afghan CD shop in Bilal Market, which is usually crammed with shoppers but fortunately there was no rush at the time of the blast because of Sunday holiday. The injured were rushed to nearby Hayatabad Medical Complex.
