There are many respected books on Child care and child rearing. Unfortunately many of these well respected books sales are diluted by many young Hollywood "New Mom" Celebrities in Entertainment magazines of Publishing houses.
New Mom celebrities who once they give birth for the first time, announce to the world their new professional child care advice based on their 90 day experience and offer expert advice on Child care and rearing almost from the "Git Go" . Spewing "Faux Armchair Pyschology" figuring their "Celebrity Status" places their expertise into the realm of a Dr. Spock or John Watson.
Media who publish such "Celebrity Tripe" are just as guilty, as is a "Gullible Public" who rush out to buy a book written by 20 something celebrities child rearing "Ghost Written" Book or Article because Oprah said so.
What to expect? New parents don't really know, study findsU.S. respondents flunk questionnaireJULIE STEENHUYSEN, ReutersPublished: 6 hours agoNearly one-third of U.S. parents know surprisingly little about typical infant development, and this lack of understanding can rob their babies of much-needed mental stimulation, researchers say.
"There are numerous parenting books telling people what to expect when they're pregnant," said Heather Paradis of the University of Rochester Medical Centre in New York.
"But once a baby is born, an astonishing number of parents are not only unsure of what to anticipate as their child develops, but are also uncertain of when, how or how much they are to help their babies reach various milestones, such as talking, grabbing, discerning right from wrong, or even potty-training," said Paradis, who presented her findings at Pediatric Academic Society meeting in Honolulu.
