Hundreds of thousands of people in central Japan have been evacuted from their home as hevy rain continues. The rain has killed one woman and thousands of people have been displaced.
Residents of Okazaki city and other areas around capital Tokyo have been asked to vacate their home and take shelter in safe places. Torrential rains and landslides have pounded Tokyo, Okazaki and other surrounding areas overnight.
Heavy rains sparked flooding in central Japan, killing one woman and leaving a man in serious condition on Friday.
Authorities ordered the evacuation of 14,000 households in Okazaki, southwest of Tokyo, and about 100 soldiers were deployed to help with rescue efforts, police spokesman Kazumi Yamagawa said. City officials said about 50 people had been evacuated.
One woman was founded drowned in her home in Okazaki and a man was in serious condition, Yamagawa said.
TV images Friday morning showed widespread flooding in the area, with heavy damage to houses and roads, and cars stranded in the water.
Yamagawa said the area had been hit with very heavy rains late Thursday evening, but the weather was clear early Friday.

Saturday, 17:00 Hours, Soka, Tokyo and Narita have had 114 mm/H rain for the past 3 hours, new flood warnings have been issued. One elderly Man is still missing from a flach flood two Hours ago that took part of his House in Nikko.
