Champions League T20 2013 Schedule & Time Table - CLT20 2013
CLT20 2013 set to unleash in India from September 17th. It should be thrill on the kill when top teams across the surface of this globe rattle their snakes across each other at the 2013 Champions League Twenty20. It is an interesting concept, bringing together best teams from several domestic T20 competitions.
CLT20 2013 Schedule: 10 teams will throw lock, sink and barrel in the quest to bag the $6 million prize in a competition for which ICC has created a 20 day-window from 17 September to 6 October 2013.
The CLT20 2013 Teams have been divided between two groups of 5. There should be unconditional rivalry brewing in each group since top South African and Australian teams will lace each group. Top three teams from the highly rated IPL will also make their presence felt. That should bring up the code in crowd count, as CLT20 will be held in India. Just before the idyllic tournament, there will be a qualifying stage played from which top two teams will exalt themselves into the actual tournament.
The actual run-up is like this: Group A will have Highveld Lions from South Africa, Perth Scorchers from Australia, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals and the topper among qualifiers. Group B will have Titans from South Africa, Brisbane Heat from Australia, Mumbai Indians, runner-up among qualifiers and Trinidad & Tobago. The lattermost have reaped the dividends for consistent performances in last two editions of CLT20.
There are 4 qualifiers in number: Sunrisers Hyderabad, Otago Volts from New Zealand, winner of Sri Lanka Premier League 2013 and Faisalabad Wolves from Pakistan.
A lot of players who will have to choose among two teams they might be contracted with; particularly because IPL teams have lots of players from South Africa and Australia. For most teams, the motto is aggression but only hopes that there will be some emphasis on fair and neat play as well; especially in the wake of recent spot-fixing cases. The stage is set for some mind-boggling entertainment, and the fans are not minding one bit!
