Daniel Perez Chandler Fashion Center Gunman, And Hostage Situation - Reports: Hostages At Baja Fresh Restaurant, Police Still Trying To Confirm Hostages

The shooting incident at the Chandler Fashion Center is rapidly developing. What started off with a gunman shooting at police at the Chandler Fashion Center and running into the mall has turned into a hostage taking at Baja Fresh Restaurant near the Chandler Fashion Center.

Here is what we know - A gunman later identified as fugitive Daniel Perez apparently fired shots at police and ran inside the Chandler Center Mall. But those reports were second-hand and were not confirmed by police. Perez is wanted for the attempted murder of a police officer.

Then CNN initially reported the hostage situation at the Baja Fresh Restaurant -across from the Chandler Fashion Center. Police are now saying they are still trying to confirm whether their are actually hostages in the Baja Fresh Restaurant.
