America is ready for Medicare system to become the primary insurance for all Americans. This is not socialized medicine, this is a system that we have that currently works for the most sick, the elderly population, that insurance companies wouldn't want to insure anyhow. They get to insure the healthiest and wealthiest while we the taxpayers pick up the rest. How ridiculous that we the taxpayers have not become wise to this! Our tax dollars are good enough to cover the elderly who spend the most money on healthcare during their end of life, so why is not good enough for the rest of us? We still get to get choices of doctors, the only thing we give us is the Insurance companies getting rich off us. Why wouldn't rich folks fight this? They stand to lose money because about 30% of what they charge goes to PROFITS! Let businesses pay their health insurance money to the government instead. It would save all of us a lot of money and cover everyone. We could still allow the rich folks to pay for more with supplementary insurance, if they just want to keep paying for profits, instead of real healthcare. Doctors like me support this plan also because it makes sense!
