Change.org: New 9/11 Investigation [REMOVED] UPDATE 2

UPDATE: Change.org is removing ideas related to the investigation of 9/11; they are claiming that investigating the event that gave the Bush Administration it's license to spy on Americans without warrant, torture, wage preemptive wars based on lies without accountability and generally undermine the Constitution is not "forward looking", and thus doesn't meet their criteria. No matter how many people want 9/11 investigated, they're a private organization and are refusing to permit the idea to be promoted and discussed on their site.

Change.org has established that it is a "gatekeeper", not a "social platform".

When the idea was removed, it had at least 660 votes, more than twice its closest competitor.

See 911Blogger.com for updates.

UPDATE 2: I submitted an idea for Obama to order the various involved agencies to comply with declassification and release of records related to the 9/11 Commission- I have been banned and the post was immediately deleted.

Change.NOT: Left Gatekeeper Blocks Support for 9/11 Commission Records Release

Original Post:

Change.org is a "social platform" for posting, discussing and voting on ideas; according to the site, which was recently featured in Newsweek, "the 'Top 10 Ideas for America' will be presented to the Obama Administration on Inauguration Day".

Also according to Change.org, the idea titled, "Conduct a new, independent investigation into the attacks of September 11, 2001" is currently in 1st Place in Criminal Justice and is in position to make it into the second round"

Vote it up for Truth and Justice!

Conduct a new, independent investigation into the attacks of September 11, 2001

Given the hundreds of inconsistencies and contradictions that abound in the formal explanations provided to the world by the Bush Administration, it behooves the Obama administration to conduct a true, unbiased, independent investigation into what transpired on 9/11/01, which has since served as a pretext to start wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and roll back civil liberties via the Patriot Act.

Comment thread on 911Blogger.com "Opportunity to Achieve our Goal"

"In this week's International edition of Newsweek (Dec 1, 2008), there's an article entitled "President 2.0". In reading it, I discovered that a new site (http://www.change.org/ideas) is collecting and posting ideas for the Obama administration and the top 10 ideas, the ideas that have received the most votes, will be presented to the President on Inauguration Day.

An idea was just added to suggest that a new investigation into 9/11 be conducted.

Please click the link below and VOTE for this idea. Then forward the link to everyone you know and ask that they vote for it too. It this is for real, it is an excellent opportunity to get out collective voice heard. Loud and Clear. Finally.

366 votes so far- it seems to be the most popular topic on the site, by far- and Change.org is not geared toward any specific issue.

Hi Horacio,

Yeah, Change.org is removing 9/11 investigation ideas; apparently, they're a "gatekeeper" not a "social platform"

See 911Blogger.com for updates

I didn't hear about this. I think someone complained that they were taking down questions about the Federal Reserve, too.

You might be interested in the 9/11 group here in NYC which successfully leveraged an initiative, to get 9/11 investigations reopened, which will appear on the next ballot. 9/11 Truth
