Chavez announces Armed Revolution. ALBA Military elements participate

Today was Venezuelan Army Day and in a show of solidarity elements of the
Honduran, Cuban, Nicaraguan and Bolivian Military marched in the event.

During his speech Hugo Chavez reiterated, "This is an armed revolution" and
to "Summon our people to the great battle for the full independence of our
America, only the union will make us free”.

This day also commemorated the Battle of Carabobo, where Simon Bolivar’s
forces, with the support of The British Legion, defeated Imperial Spain and
guaranteed the independence of Venezuela.
