Bolivia to fund road projects with Venezuelan US$300 millions

Margarita Island, Nueva Esparta State,Venezuela. It has emerged tonight that Bolivian Presiedent Evo Morales will join the Heads of States from Venezuela - Hugo Chavez-, Brazil, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, and Ecuador Rafael Correa tomorrow at the Brazilian city of Manaus. According to local newspaper El Universal, the initial meeting between Chavez and Lula da Silva was part of a scheduled set of meetings arranged by tge two presidents "to follow up the progress of bilateral projects, the hemispheric state of affairs and global issues". Then, both Ecuadorian Correa and Bolivian Evo expressed their desire to join the meeting at Brazil.

The agenda of this South American Summit will discuss the current financial crisis and the Amazon intergration. While President Correa has just emerged a winner from a Referendum held yesterday to approve a new socialist constitution for Ecuador, Bolivian Evo Morales is still confronting serious challenges to his legitimacy and political project. Venezuelan President jst concluded a successful tour for Cuba, China, Russia, France and Portugal.
