Cheney accuses Obama on al-Qaeda
Dick Cheney, the former US vice-president, has accused the Obama administration of being more concerned with the rights of al-Qaeda suspects than protecting the US. - Al Jazeera, Feb 5, 09
If you asked me, if there is an attack of the U.S. or any other country by al-Qaeda it will because Cheney and Bush failed to contained Bin Laden resulting in a resurgent al-Qaeda. They had almost 8 years to find Bin Laden and finish al-Qaeda. They knew where they where then (Pakistan) and they knew where they were later (Iraq & Afghanistan) in their presidency but they failed to deliver the blow that would have finally killed al-Qaeda. Now, al-Qaeda is stronger and bolder. On top of this, the U.S. lost the trust of its allies.
The U.S. does not need to stoop down to the level of the enemy to defeat it. Remember WW2?
