Cheryl Maher Has Spoken Out Saying Kevin Garn Lied About no Sexual Contact in the Hot Tub

Kevin Garn revealed that he had an 'inapropriate incident' with a woman named Cheryl Maher in a hot tub, when she was 15 and he was 28, but although he did say it was 'clearly inappropriate' it was not anything sexual.

However, Cheryl Maher has now spoken to the City Weekly and reported on Deseret News, that Kevin Garn was lying when he said that and although she was a bit vague she did say:

She also admitted that she was in love with him and he had been her LDS Sunday School teacher and her employer at the time they were in the hot tub together.

She told City Weekly that she told the Church about her problems with Kevin Garn but they did nothing. She was excommunicated from the Church however for an extramarital affair a few years ago.

Cheryl Maher took $150,000 from Garn in exchange for keeping quiet about what happened between them and Garn now admits that the payment was a mistake. Cheryl Maher told the Salt Lake Tribune that her husband said the original offer of $20,000 was not enough to keep quiet so she asked for $150,000 and she got that.

It is now a case of her word against his as to what happened in that hot tub 25 years ago.
