Former Tibetan soldiers yearn for independence - 15 Mar 09

Today, China marked 50 years of occupation of Tibet with a public holiday.  The official Chinese view is that they have rescued the Tibetan people from oppression and serfdom.  They had the Panchen Lama, the Beijing appointed lama, make positive statements about the occupation.
Last year a brief protest against Chinese occupation in Lhasa was brutally suppressed.
The spiritual head of the Tibetan people, the Dalai Lama has been exiled from Tibet for 50 years.

March 28, marks the anniversary of a revolt against the Chinese government in 1959.

China is marking "Serf's Emancipation Day", a new public holiday commemorating what it calls the overturning of the feudal hierarchy system in Tibet 50 years ago.

Chinese authorities have compared the end of the Dalai Lama's rule in Tibet to Abraham Lincoln's emancipation of slaves in the US.

This Stencil was made to pay homage to the 50th anniversary of the Tibetan Uprising of 1959 when more than 86,000 Tibetans were

persecuted and killed by Chinese troops.
Its been a year than China flooded Tibet with thousands of additional troops to re-gain possession of a territory that doesn´t belong to her, the expulsion of journalists of the territory is one of the dicatatorship measures that have with goal only the hiding of the carnage that has been happening on the territory.

This work is not against the Chinese community but it´s against the running dictatorship, it´s against the occupation of a free country and it´s against the massacre of innocent people, this work have only a unique purpose, make Tibet a free country!

Leave to the conquering power to put this kind of spin on their takeover in Tibet. Communists often use the lies of being freedom fighters against those who would oppose their own dictatorships. Shame China, shame!
