A magical winter wonderland was unveiled recently at the 25th annual Harbin Snow and Ice Festival in the capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang province, one of China's coldest regions.

The festival hopes to draw over 800,000 visitors with its variety of ice and snow displays, sporting events, and tourist attractions.

The 25th Harbin Snow and Ice Festival comprises five sections, the art of snow, snow sports, snow culture, snow tourism and a snow economy. A wide range of activities closely associated with snow are planned to be held on city squares around Harbin in the coming two months

Harbin, on the edge of Siberia, is one of China's coldest places, where temperatures can drop to -35 degree Celsius.

These pictures were taken at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando Florida during their 6th Annual ICE Festival. They bring in millions of pounds of ice and have sculptors from Harbin, China, carve them into miraculous pieces of art. We try to go each year and they outdo themselves each time. These specific pictures are of the ice angel (always a favorite) and 2 ice rabbits.
