According to The Times, the Chinese Ship which was carrying arms for Zimbabwe was forced to return to China. The reason was that the South African Labour Unions refused to unload the cargo destined for Zimbabwe. The South African President Mbeki said that the transaction was between two sovereign countries and that it was not his business. The decision of the South African Unions to not unload the cargo from the Chinese Ship was a victory for those who say no to politicians who deny the existence of a problem. If it were not for the news coming from The Times, Zimbabwe Situation, and the publicity by Now Public; it would be hard to imagine what would have transpired.

Not all is calm and all is bright since there have been reports of the presence of Chinese Military Personnel in Mutare. According to sources, they have checked into the local Holiday Inn along with seventy military personnel from Zimbabwe.
