Christian Houses burnt by Muslims in Gojra, Pakistan

Violence against Christians in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Gojra , Pakistan , Eight killed, 19 injured, 60 houses demolished

 

More than three thousand armed people attacked on Christian homes in Gojra Christian town on August 1, 2009, town situated in diocese on Faisalabad, after the earlier attack on Christian houses in Village Korian, 5 to 6 km from Gojra town on 30th July.

More than one thousand people held a procession in the main city of the Gojra town at about 8:30 AM on August 1, 2009. They were demanding death sentence of Talib Masih who is charged of false blasphemy in village Korian. Thousands of Muslims attacked on Christians in Gojra after the procession and opened fire on the innocent Christian people indiscriminately.

The Christians being week could not resist attack and more then 60 houses completely burned and looted from the houses and set every thing on fire. A Pentecostal Church situated in Christian Town was completely burned.

One Hameed Mashi, 50, who was fired with a bullet in his head died at the spot. His family members were gathered around his dead body. The extremists reached there and threw. All of them died and completely burned.

Two women were present at their home and they were also set on fire. They also died at the spot.

18 people have been injured. And they are hospitalized with no care in the hospital.

6.    Umia Bibi

7.    Unknown Child.

The situation in Gojra is still tense. There are announcements continued in the mosuques about attacking the Christian Colonies and Villages in this area.

Non-cooperation from the district administration and negligence of the law enforcement agencies has caused this problem.

The immature attitude of the Christian political leadership has added to the misery

I strongly condemn this massacre on innocent and peaceful christian community of Pakistan, this stupid blasphemy law of 198c need to be eliminated that was made to kill minority only. What about those Muslim who curse Jesus, this law does not apply on them, why? Because Might is Right.

Yet another example of intolerant nature of Islam. All possible effort should be undertaken to limit muslim immigration to western countries until new tolerant laws compatible with civilization become mainstream in countries with muslim majorities and the world can be assured that they are really enforced.

Now it is proved that Gojra Insident was mendacity blame on Christians because Police investigated blasphemy accusations for three days but they could not find any witness to alleged blasphemy.

So now it is responsibility of the Govt. and the Pakistani Courts to ensure the Christian's Community that they will punish those people who are the responsible for this incident, who  killed and burnt alive the nine people and who didn't try to control the situation.

People of the area are still helpless and didn't have any thing in their burnt houses so who are reading this passage please help them in any shape that is possible for them and also write a letter to Govt of Pakistan that he ensure the safety of Christians in Pakistan.

We are all living in dream world, i grew up in Pakistan and if someone say Muslim don't curse Jesus that is not true, they all say we respect Jesus because he is one of the prophet in koran which is diplomatic answer.

In Gojra incident Muslim mob put false blame on Christians just to kill them, whenever they feel like killing Christians they put the same blame. I don't think any christian living in Pakistan can defile koran or can talk against prophet Mohammad because they now the consequence.

Expecting something good for Christians from law enforcement, courts or Federal and Punjab govt. is living like in dream world, Nothing will happen nobody will get punished, this is all big drama being played arresting some people then releasing them later on pretending not having enough evidence. Who will punish who when they are all same.

I salut all those martyrs who laid thier life for Christ and Christianity. Being Christian my self and brought up in this country I know how much hardship every single christian has to face in this country. blasphemy is the only key muslims of pakistan use against christians to attack them. all law enforcing aggencies failed to locate the actual reason behid that. On the other hand there are those Christians which taking advantages of this incident and looking to gether donations and money..they should be shamed that what they are doing. All christians should be united now and arrange thier own deffence force. Believe me pakistan governement and all christians MPA and MNA and christian ministers are not intrusted for the betterment of thier people. We have to take initiative to fight back the battle. This is the time we have to think and realise our values. getting a seperate province is not the salution. Ww have to tell these people that we are strong. dont bent infront of them. dont beg for mercy from them. They never ever have softcorner for us.

Be aware that our own people now taking advantage of this Incident and

gathering DONATIONS & MONEY. Dont listen to them they are wolf under the skin of lamb. If you want to support them go directly to them.

 

First of all, let me say ... the people who did this deserve punishment. I am a Muslim, and being a Muslim I strongly condemn this self judgment. Considering the claim, even if any Christian have commit blasphemy they are supposed to punished in the court by law enforcement agencies instead of normal public. THIS IS WRONG ... SHOULDN'T HAPPEN.

And for record, any Muslim who is breaking the law of the state or any Muslims killing any innocent is doing SIN and deserve punishment. To the Statistics given above by Shahzad Francis some females and children were also killed. of course,they were not the part of the blasphemy charge. Any by the way, it is stated in Sur'ah Tauba that if you are in Jihad (war) don't target women, children and old people. So it is pretty straight ..... It was a wrong act.

Now lets discuss, who they actually are. See, it should be clear that there are some people in every country who know less and act more ... I mean to say, in the light of what I have mention above no Muslim ever commit this mistake but we see as part of fact every minority face these type of challenges.

Say for example, Muslims in India ...790 Muslims killed in Gujrat Riot in year 2002 and more than 100,000 Muslims were displaced. Each year, on Eid-UL-Azha many muslims killed with no reason. Don't forget the Babri Masjid  ... 

For record, In India last year more then 34 Christians were killed and hundreds of homes and many Christian institutions and churches have been put to the torch. A local nun was raped by the Hindu mob, while an estimated 20,000 Christian Adivasi fled their villages.

It was all happening in India with the name of their faith Hinduism.

According to Hindu Religion ... it was a sin ... but there were people who know less and act more ...

Every Religious minority face challenges. It shouldn't be but unfortunately it is .....

Now let's come to the part what will happen to them. Well, my fellow Christians brother I am sorry but nothing going to happen with them nobody will be punished ... That is why we called a 3rd world country.

Being a Muslim, I am also in the queue of Justice but who gets that here in Pakistan. People like us, who are weak will always suffered here.

The last 20 Christians kidnapped case, was nicely managed by Govt, there were some dismissal of Police officers and some Immediate action took place but I am still not much hopeful from Punjab Govt.

Let me repeat again, This was a bad incident shouldn't happen ... the people who did this deserve punishment.

I met a Bengali Christian last year who is living and working here in Pakistan. I asked him why do you migrated from your own country, Living in Pakistan or Bangladesh are almost the same, He said Pakistan is the safest place in south asia for Christians to live. When I inquire more I came to know, that in Bangladesh, there are Muslim who kill Christians considering that it is a Good deed ... of course a wrong act. Sri Lanka was captured by Tamil Tiger those days .. another extremist force ... so In light of what he said I guess you are pretty wrong.
But I can feel the pain you are facing right now ...

I agreed what you said ... nothing gonna happen to them but the wrong part was Jesus of Qur'an See, if any Muslim comes up and say "I don't believe Jesus", He is not a Muslim any more. So there is no diplomacy, it is a part of our faith to have believe in Jesus, to have believe that he gives life to dead, he gives eyes to born blind and he is the one who is Called Christ. But as I said, there are people who know less and act more. I know some Muslims and Christians who think Jesus of Islam is not the Jesus of Christianity ... and Christianity talks about some other person but believe me it is wrong ..... Qur'an and bible talks about the same person.

And for record, on this earth we are the only religion who believe Jesus other than you. I can understand your pain brother, but it is always wrong to give your comments without knowing the ground reality.

i just want to say...that Christians of Pakistan are not so save....our Government should take serious action against gojra attack.Islam teach peace n brotherhood.So our muslims brother should note this.we are all human being .we want PEACE...Plz pray for Christian community.....

My Father died due to fire from the Muslims MOB. And other six family members have burnt in our house. And our house fired from the Muslims. They locked our family members in a room and through a chemical on this room and burnt alive. Our total seven members have martyred. Many people earning money on our name.
