Reverend says "homosexual marriage"  is part of a secular "axis of evil"  which will bring us full circle to Sodom

Heading "Operation Rescue"  is one Reverend Randall Terry,  who is calling on sympathetic Christians to protest the National Equality March in Washington.  Invoking the Bible against "homosexual marriage"  Terry sets the clock back about 25 years with talk which seems to come from prior times and a former era.

There have been strong secular arguments made against gay marriage which drive the wedge in more deeply than does Terry:

Randall Terry and crew are going to protest President Obama's address at the Human Rights Coalition Banquet and the National Equality March.

After all, they really don't have a choice considering that gays are intent on tearing "the very fabric of Christian society apart" and creating a "hedonistic hell, a modern day Sodom":

"The Homosexual Marriage Movement and the Child-killing movement are the 'Cultural Axis of Evil,' and must be defeated. President Obama is again showing his contempt for his Christianity." Randall Terry, Director, Operation Rescue Insurrecta Nex.

...

"We can - and must - meet these men and women with compassion; they are made in the image of God, and Christ died to forgive us all of our sins. We all have sin; we all need his love and forgiveness.

"But that is exactly the issue: homosexual behavior is a mortal sin. It is self-destructive. It is against nature. It needs forgiveness, not codification and normalization.

"We do not deny that many of these men and women simply want to live their lives in peace. But the leadership of this movement is hell-bent on creating 'homosexual marriage;' a thing that can never be, for our Maker alone has the right to define this institution, and He has declared it to be between a man and a woman.

"By seeking to normalize and codify a thing that God calls mortal sin, they seek to tear the very fabric of Christian society apart, and with the tattered remains, weave a hedonistic hell, a modern day Sodom. This effects us all; our schools, our businesses, our children, our grandchildren, and all who will be harmed by the breaking of God's Eternal Order, and the shattering of the Sacred Institution He created.

"If they wish to practice a self-destructive behavior behind closed doors, so be it. We will pray for them, and offer them the same forgiveness will all need. But when they try to force the rest of us to create a right to 'homosexual marriage' where none exists, and to say that an objectively evil behavior is good and even desirable, we must fearlessly oppose them with all our might.

"The child-killing movement and the 'homosexual marriage' movement have formed an unbreakable bond - a 'cultural axis of evil' - because they both spring from the same root: the rejection of God's Law and Natural Law concerning human sexuality and procreation.

Love is the major message.  I think some of us forget that.  I am not a fan of protesting gay folks as it sends a message of hate.  How about Christians live by example and notice the same passages that condemn homosexuality are among condemnation of backbiting and alcoholism.  I am not for Homosexual marriage but that does not mean I hate homosexuals.

“President Obama does America and the nations of the world a great disservice by legitimizing this self destructive, degrading behavior by speaking at the HRC banquet.” Oh yes, he’s such a horrible person speaking at a campaign for HUMAN RIGHTS! So what does that make you? A group of people who fight to keep ignorance and hatred on the streets? Time to take a good look in the mirror people! “We can – and must – meet these men and women with compassion; they are made in the image of God, and Christ died to forgive us all of our sins.” And just like heterosexuals there are some who have accepted Christ into their lives (like myself) and some who have not. There is no difference between the heterosexuals who deny God and the homosexuals who deny God, therefore we shouldn’t be singled out as groups of people who need your extra attention. “God made marriage to be a sacred covenant and sacrament between a man and a woman, and His Laws and order cannot be nullified – not by them, not by the Courts, and not by President Obama.” I’m sorry, but MAN has been in control of marriage from day one. MAN decided black men couldn’t marry white women back in the day. MAN decided homosexuals couldn’t marry presently. MAN can easilly decide to legalize same-sex marriage in the near future. And don’t talk to me about sacred when half the time marriage isn’t even a special ceremony anymore and 99% of the time God has nothing to do with it. Seriously, people, WAKE UP! I am a gay Christian who loves my God and my Savior Jesus Christ and I DO NOT believe in what you are doing! Nobody is forcing you to acknowledge us homosexuals, so why put yourself in the middle of our fight for equality? You don’t know the struggles we go through day after day, and if it weren’t for God and my faith I would have no one to turn to. I certainly don’t have any of you to turn to because you turn us away by your teachings. You need to learn to welcome us with open and loving arms, not protesting in hatred on something that doesn’t even concern you to begin with. It’s sad, and God is crying. I’m going to be praying for YOU that your eyes are finally opened and you can learn to love and accept everyone the way Christ does.

This is no such thing as a Homosexual Christian, nor a Drunkard Christian, nor a Fornicator Christian, nor a Murdering Christian. God is not a liar and He can not be mocked. Read the Bible. Its not our teaching but Jesus Christ. Find a part in the Bible where holy men of God was a homosexual. Everyone is okay, as long as people can celebrate sin and evil in "peace". Christians need to be out there in full force to tell people to repent and that Jesus is the only way. Yes, Jesus loves everyone but He hates sin, but if you dont repent and let Jesus rule your life. Hell is waiting. Even then, the love of Christ will not be removed but you will have to pay the consequences of being disobedient to His warning.

Leslie Wilson- seriously? Do you not realize how hypocritical you are?  JESUS LOVES EVERYBODY- gay or straight.  Trust me, I've met MANY MANY drunkards, fornicators, adulterers, and hypocrites who  claimed they were "Christian". If Christianity is about Jesus- then everyone is supposed to love their fellow brother. Maybe you should read the Bible? Jesus tells everyone to get rid of all their possessions, share everything and love everyone as equals. Never does Jesus prosecute other faiths, other types of people. IT'S IN THE BIBLE! He only goes after the hypocrites like you! It's a shame that people turn such a wonderful man into a tool of hate!!!!!! Shame on you.

I really hate that kind of prejudice people should let everyone live the way they want to live and not judge their lifestyles. For those annoyed by this forget it and get out there and meet people at places like the following:factoidz.com/gay-dating-websites-comparing-chemistrycom-gaycom-and-yahoo-personals/
