May God guide you.  As always people continue to make up stoireies about Islam and Muslims.  As for Christians in the Muslim world they have always lived together in peace.  By the grace of God it is part of outr faith to be kind to non-Muslims especially those described in the Quran a the people of the book (Jews and Christians).  Our Phophet said he who hurts a non-Muslim has hurt me and I will be his adversary on the day of judgement.  So if any Muslim violates this he violates Islam. I am sure that the Christians who killed 70, 000 Muslims and Jews in one day during the Crusades, or the massacre of Jews and Muslims during the Inquisitions or the slaughter of the natives of this country or the uprooting of millions of Africans during the slave trade or the annilation of the natives of Australia.  Must I continue.  What has been done in the name of Christianity has no paralel in history.  Get your stories straight.  The taking of life should not be done by anyone, however if you look at history you may see a few Muslims going to extreme but you have never seen what you have domne in the name of other faiths.  as a Muslim who converted to Islam I see the same lies and propaganda that brought about during the Crusades being waged today.  May God help us all

Why didn't you mention the rest of the verse from the Koran? Where is says that Muslims can others for spreading "mischief in the land" and "mischeif" can be anything that Muslims want it to be.

"Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allah by committing the major sins) in the land." (Al-Ma'idah 5:32)

But if I need to kill someone, I can easily define "mischief in the land". This would be no problem for me ...or you. To continue the point, let's add some "jihad" armament to the fray.

"Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's cause) is ordained for you" (Surat Al-Baqarah 2:216).

"O ye who believe (Muslims) take not the Jews or the Christians for your friends and protectors. They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he among you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them (Surat Al-Maidah 5:51).

No one cares what Christians did centuries ago. Islam is todays problem.

Muslim Leaders to Non-Muslims: Do Not Question Islam

As we surf across net it is very clear to see that the criticism of Islam is on the rise. This is obviously because the non-Islamic world has become more aware of the threat that Islam brings to our way of life, as the Islamic way of life and our way do not mix. When there is a problem people have every right to speak up and try and deal with that problem, but according to Islamic leaders we do not have that right. More and more high ranking Muslims are coming out and basically telling us to shut up and not to question Islam. Here are some examples of this type of behaviour.

Non-Muslims in Malaysia have been warned by state rulers not to question the supremacy of Islam or the special privileges given to the Malay Muslim majority there. The Muslim rulers have said that questioning of Islam and the superior standing of Islam "can lead to disunity and racial strife that can undermine the peace and harmony". In other words just shut up, convert or live like a dhimmi.

This week a fatwa issued by a committee from the highest authority in Sunni Islam, Egypt's Al-Azhar University in Cairo has stated that Muslims have the right under Islam to hack into the websites of non-Muslims that are fighting back in the information war.

Approximately two months ago the Human Rights Council at the United Nations had banned any criticism regarding Sharia Law and human rights in the Islamic world. Muslims are obviously very worried that the ugly truth about Islam is getting out to more and more people, which means that we are doing a good job. Keep up the good work everyone!

I think you started this topic for points but anyway, I do not think you have enough knowledge to write this very small, very general piece of news about violence.

I am not going to talk about conflicts and mass murders between Catholics and Protestants, which was, from a certain point of view, justified.

What I have spoken about are Islamic rules. Non-Muslims are treated as second class citizens under Islam. It is called a dhimmi. So please educate yourself on Islam before you come here and bash me.

I have so many things to say but I can't express them all.  First of all the word Dhimmie means the covenated people living in Islamic lands.  These people were always given the right to their own autonomy.  In a time where there was no secularism and people followed God the people of the book and others were given all the religious freedom unlike what we have seen in the holy land today and in the past.  Do not get confused about what is Islam and what these current rulers are doing.  It is funny that time and time again a person continues to interpret my religion who has no understanding of Islam.  The verses from the Quran are translated and these verses were revealed due to circumstances that existed at the time.  You can not take a verse from the Quran and interpret it and then not even as you ave done forget the verses that preceed and follow it.  Maybe you should read books by unbiased scholrs who show th true history of Islam.   As an African American who has been lied to about history I understand why you don't understand.  Thank God that he has given me the ways and means to see what is true and what is false.  Peace

Dhimmi means second class citizen with less rights then Muslims, they also had to pay a higher tax then Muslims. Anyone reading can do a Google search. Dhimmi status was not good.

Islam the big Misunderstanding

We constantly hear from Muslims that the Koran is being misinterpreted, when asked why so many Muslims are using the Koran to justify their actions. Well for arguments sake lets just look at modern history, the Barbary Coast Wars.

During the year 1786 Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to speak with Tripoli’s Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman. Jefferson and Adams asked the Ambassador how can they make war on nations that have done nothing to them? The Ambassador replied that “It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every Muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy’s ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once”. So even back then Muslims were using the Koran to justify their violent actions. My question is this, if Muslims that are saying the Koran is being misinterpreted are correct, then how come in over 200 years they have not been able to clear up this misunderstanding with in the Islamic world? Or is it just that they know that the Koran is not being  and that they are just being dishonest with us?

Most Muslims  believe the words of the Koran are for all time, as the words are Gods words and mere man  cannot change them. Why don't you go to Saudi Arabia and tell them that they do not understand Islam, but you do. LOL!! Let me know how you make out.

Book 019, Number 4294:
If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them.

There you are trying to quote the Quran again.  As I said Dhimmie does not mean second class citizen.  It means covenated people.  Yususf Ali and Pickthall do not interpret the word Dhimmie because it is  not found in the quran.  this is from the sayings of the prophet. And neither of them are scholars but only linguist.  The jizya is a tax and just as Muslims pay taxes so do all otheres living in an Islamic countryIf you join the Muslim army or other things within the government you  are exempt from this tax. 

You might want to try and actually read. lol!! They were both Islamic scholars.

Dhimmis were allowed to "practice their religion, subject to certain conditions, and to enjoy a measure of communal autonomy" and guaranteed their personal safety and security of property, in return for paying tribute and acknowledging Muslim supremacy. Taxation from the perspective of dhimmis who came under the Muslim rule, was "a concrete continuation of the taxes paid to earlier regimes" (but now lower under the Muslim rule) and from the point of view of the Muslim conqueror was a material proof of the dhimmi's subjection. Various restrictions and legal disabilities were placed on Dhimmis, such as prohibitions against bearing arms or giving testimony in courts in cases involving Muslims. Most of these disabilities had a social and symbolic rather than a tangible and practical character. All of them, however, were designed to eliminate other religions in a deliberate, long-term process.

This guy was an Islamic scholar, who studied Islam since he was 6 years old. But I guess you know better. So when are you heading to the Middle East to tell them that they got it all wrong?

I don't care what Khomeini syas.  The Quran says that there is no coercion in religion.  Christains always talk peace but they have never turned the other cheek.  According to all the unbiased non-Muslim scholars they all will say how Islam protected the rights of non-Muslims at a time when others thought it was there religious duty to wipe out peoples of other faiths.  "Maybe you should read Dc o'Leary book Islam at the crossroads where he says the story of fanatical Muslms sweeping the world by the sword and killing all the infidels is one of the most fantastically obsurd myths that historians have ever repeated."  Ask the people arounfd the world how Islam came to them.  Ask the millions of Cristaians in America and Europe how they feel about Islam  .  I feel that many Christians feel that Islam is overwhelming them.  Yes dipite all your lies Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.

I forgot to mention that you said that Christians are being persecuted aound the world.  If Muslims are doing this it is wrong.  Most of thes cases are isolated.  There has never been a case like the systematic murder of Muslims by Christians in the old Yugoslavia by the Serbs.  You always bring these isolated incidents but when you do it you just try to wipe out everyone.  But it is a common tactic for someone to cry wolf to divert people from who is really doing all the killing and persecution.  As for me I know so many Christians and I know they are not like this.  And I know many Muslims and they are not like what you say.  But I know that you hate Islam and you can't see past your hatred.  So you blame Islam for the actions of a few.  As I saw through your lies so are many other people around the world who have accepted Islam.  Yes there are millions and once again no sword.

What are you talking about.  Then why are so many non-Muslims accepting Islam.  I am not even going to waste any more time talking to you.  Once again you bring a few isolated incidences.  Christian minorities live all over the Muslim world and have done so for centuries.  Were they wiped out like so many minorities and majority peoples living under you.  The answer is no.  Those living under aparteid.  The annilation of the peoples of Australia.  At least they have apologized as they just did in Canada for forcibly converting the nativeds of Canada forcefully taking them from their families and converting them.  What about the millions of Africans that you uprooted and destoyed their whole culture and way of life.  This alone has never been done in history but you used the Bible to justify this.  take a look at your own history and I guarentee you won't have anything to say about mine.
