Christie Prody, OJ Simpson's Ex-Girlfriend Says He Killed Nicole
O.J. Simpson's former girlfriend Christie Prody broke her silence and appeared in Good Morning America talking about her life with OJ Simpson.
When asked if she thought Simpson killed his wife Nicole Brown Simpson, Christie Prody said, "Yes, I do now. It took me many years to realize and face that hard, terrible truth. Now I do, absolutely."
Christie Prody met O.J. Simpson one year after he was acquitted of killing Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994. Friends and family of Prody strongly opposed the relationship.
Prody tried to leave Simpson but said she was under constant physical and emotional abuse. She also said Simpson threatened to kill her, a statement he denied.
"If I did he would find me," Prody said. "[The] only place I had to go were to friends of ours. He would come by … threaten, manipulate. I had no choice at that point. I had nowhere to go."
Prody's attorney Gloria Allred said Prody was lucky enough to get out of the relationship alive, a luxury Nicole didn't have.
"He had the power in the relationship. She was dependent on him … her life was literally in danger," she said. "What some women think is love can lead to a life and death situation."
Simpson is serving his jail time for armed robbery and kidnapping. GMA host asked if Prody fear her life would be in danger when Simpson is released. She responded she was worried, but now she's in love with a wonderful man and has a beautiful baby together.
