Five-term US Senator Christopher Dodd was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer. The prostate cancer was caught early, and the prognosis is good. Christopher Dodd will go in for surgery during the Congressional Recess, which begins August 7.

“I’m going to be fine; we caught this early,” said Dodd, 65, noting that the cancer was confirmed about six weeks ago after an annual physical. “I anticipate by the end of the month to be out and about.”
