$50 billion needed to secure teacher and state employee votes

It is interlinear – between the lines, cut the budget now before elections, are you kidding? You see if we needed the teachers, firemen, law enforcement officers, etc. (and we do) then find a way to pay for it permanently. Cut $50 billion from Defense to pay for it. Balance the damned budget like you said you would.

This is business as usual – not change we can believe in.
