Interesting Comment. Interesting Imagery. Interesting state of affairs.
I would suggest the problem is that we tend to mindlessly buy into the imagery and attitudes that religions market themselves with. Whereas I think the reality is... that like with any large corporation; what they sometimes say and sometimes do can be quite different things.
For an excellent, very readable insight into the gritty reality of organized religion and violence, I strongly recommend Christopher Hitchen's book "Good is Not Great!"
Surely thoughtful people will agree it is all quite religulous.
