The CIA was the key agency that catapulted religious extremisim in Muslim countries, and then dumping key actors like former ISI chief Gen. Hameed Gul and Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden as if they were used condoms.

The latest bombings took place Monday in the district capital, Mingora, “once considered the safest place in Swat,” according to The Guardian. Five girls’ schools were leveled by TTP militants who last week decreed a permanent ban on education for girls.

Hundreds of millions of US taxpayer dollars are presently being pumped in into Iran to foment Sunni extremism by Al Qaeda-style Sunni militant outfits. To befool the taxpayers, some DC-based educational nonprofits are being used as front offices to plant death and destruction in foreign lands. Internationally respected journalist Seymour Hersh removed the cover from the bloody gutter in an expose in the New Yorker last year.

These operations, for which the President sought up to four hundred million dollars, were described in a Presidential Finding signed by Bush, and are designed to destabilize the country's religious leadership.

Many of those involved are avowed neo-cons but the funding to them will continue in spite of a change in government in the US.

The new CIA director, Leon Panetta, a highly respected scholar with keen interest in environmental issues, is taking up his job with some very interesting questions he wants his subordinates to answer.

Where is Osama bin Laden?

When will al-Qaida next try to attack the United States, and where?

When will Iran have a nuclear weapon? How can it be deterred from getting one?

What will it take to persuade North Korea to give up its nuclear weapon?

But one area that deserves Panetta's immediate attention is Pakistan's nuclear arms and it may be so with any public declaration..
