Citizen Journalism Platform in Nepal Launches Beta

An online community aimed to be the citizen journalism platform in Nepal has lauched its beta version this week. With the domain, www.meroreport.net, it has become online.

With the mission of democratizing the media by bringing local, on-the-ground perspectives on today's news headlines, this portal has been started. The operators have planned to integrate SMS and phone calls to it since Nepal has about 3% of Internet penetration.
