Taipei, Taiwan --In China today, the Council for Labor Activities (CLA) voted to propose a new draft of labor rights which will allow management and workers to negotiate or strike over a wider range of issues. If management and employees cannot come to terms in contractual agreements other than salaries, wages and bonuses they will now be allowed to strike on expanding issues whereas, before previous drafts specifically outlined a more constrictive policy. The revision drafts have been proposed to enter the Legislature soon. "Employees from all areas, except military personnel, civil servants and teachers, will be allowed to strike for more reasons with our new drafts," according to the CLA.
