Clinton Supporters claim Obama is not a Natural Born Citizen and was registered as a Muslim several times during his lifetime.

By Albert N. Milliron, Editor, Politisite.com

There is a group that continues to spread that John McCain is not a natural born citizen of the United States. His father was a military man and he was born in a hospital in Panama.  Those who argue this point state that the Constitution states that eligibility to be the President of the United States requires that one be born in a U.S. State or territory.

Why most constitutional scholars have dismissed this argument as a previous presidential candidates were born under the same conditions.  There are those who still push the McCain is not a natural Born citizen and is ineligible to be the President of the United States.

Now comes disgruntled Hillary Clinton supporters who have tacked sown the best that they can, Barack Obama's birth history.  Some have pointed out that he may have a Kenya, US, and Indonesia citizenship.  They argue that Obama may not have been born in Hawaii as reported.  That the Birth Certificate posted by the Daily Kos  is a fake and Obama was born outside of the United States.  NowPublic Writer BMCWrites wrote an article specifically about the Obama Birth Ceritificate.  Thus giving the Clinton Supporters and argument that since Obama is not a naturally born citizen, he too is not eligible to be the president.  Therefore, Hillary, should be nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate.

If your head is beginning to spin, take some Dramamine as it might be awhile before this all stops.  This group will continue and possibly files law suits up to and after the conventions.  The following is an article that takes one step by step on the Obama not a naturalized citizen argument.  You will notice that there are newspaper excerpts. They also make it a point that Obama was indeed registered as a Muslim at several occasions during his lifetime.

Based on all the research and analysis to date, here is what I believe today, not to be accepted as fact by anyone who wants to believe something else:

1. Barack Obama was likely born in Honolulu, the hospital still unknown for some reason (why won’t he say?), on Aug. 4, 1961. A birth announcement in the newspaper has been found by one of our researchers*. It looks like this:

Here’s the full-page wider angle:

2. Although this announcement suggests his parents were married, that’s still an open question. I still don’t know why Michelle Obama recently said that Ba rack's mother was “very single” when she had him.

3. Although it’s possible that a birth certificate filed by Ba rack's grandparents, while he was actually born elsewhere, led to this newspaper announcement, I personally think that’s unlikely because in 1961 these announcements came directly from the Vital Statistics Office as reported by local hospitals, according to the researcher who found this information.

4. His legal name at birth was Barack Hussein Obama II, and he acquired dual citizenship (Kenyan and US) at, or shortly after, birth.

5. His father didn’t stick around. On a related note, have you noticed that there are no photos of Obama as an infant?

6. His mother traveled from Honolulu to wherever Barack Sr. was because she genuinely believed that they were going to live together as a family. She chased her dream. On her way there, she passed through Mercer Island.

7. But realizing that Barack Sr. had moved on, Stanley Ann Dunham enrolled at the Univ. of Washington for the 1962 Spring Quarter. That turned out to be overwhelming, and she eventually returned to Honolulu and re-enrolled at UH, where she met her second husband, an Indonesian national.

8. Ba rack's mother Ann might have acquired Indonesian citizenship when she married Soetoro.

9. Barack Obama almost certainly acquired Indonesian citizenship because he likely was adopted by Soetoro.

10. Not only was Barack Obama officially an Indonesian citizen, he also was a registered “muslim.” Again, I don’t care whether he was or wasn’t, except that he proclaims on his website that he’s “always been Christian,” which I believe to be a false statement.

11. Barack Obama’s original birth certificate might contain something that embarrasses him, or something that could be problematic for him legally. I STILL think he needs to produce a hard copy of the original Birth Certificate, or it looks like he’s hiding something.

12. The COLB on Smears and Kos has likely been altered, as Techdude’s and Polarik’s studies show, but probably reflects Obama’s true birth certificate so it’s not clear how or why it was altered. The way the COLB was handled and its suspicious presentation could have been intended to serve as a diversion from the can of worms Obama doesn’t want anyone to open.

THAT can of worms is the eligibility problem a POTUS candidate faces if that person has EVER held dual citizenship.

Stay tuned…

[TD NOTE: Again, this reflects my beliefs, and any part of it could be wrong. If anyone has corrections or questions, please send them by leaving a comment]

*The birth announcement was tracked down by Lori Starfelt, the producer of a documentary that PUMA is working on. READ the comments below for in-depth explanations from Lori about the announcement.

(Opinion) The Politisite Bottom Line:  I don't care if Senator Obama was called a Muslim on school papers.  In some religions if the Man is a particular religion, the children are automatically assumed to hold the same faith.  In the Jewish tradition, if the Mother is a Jew, then the Child is considered a Jew.  Senator Obama claims to be a Christian,  I will take him at his word.  Being a Christian is much more then just a confession.  Being a Christian requires action as well.  I can take issue with him there.  I won't take the RightWingNuts side here.  I have no problem with a man of any faith becoming the President of the United States.  I prefer one who carries the same values, and for the most part a Muslim has more in common with Christianity then any other religion. So to me the issue is Mute.

Whether Senator Obama's Parents or Parent falsified documents to make sure Obama could become a U.S. Citizen is out side of my ability to research.  Documents are very volatile from the early 60s.  It would do well for Obama to impress the media by coming out with photographs and family linage that would satisfy these arguments. There are arguments on both sides of the authenticity of the document. I will allow the experts to resolve this.

The issue I have if the document is false, and there is a family conspiracy to keep Senator Obama's birthplace silent, and if he perpetrates this conspiracy, he should be impeached before he has been elected.  While I have empathy for those who wish to be American Citizens, I have no tolerance for illegally obtaining that status.

I have stated in other writings that Clinton Supporters are very much like the Clinton's themselves.  They will do whatever it takes to get her election.  I think this is one of those ploys.

Obama spindoctors an webgeeks have been trying to bury these stories for months, long before Clinton supporters finally took the issues up. There are blogs from Indonesia verifying info about the schools there, and about what Barrack did there.

Also a concerned Christian Baptist preacher claims he did some research and found there was no record of Obama ever being baptised or having to be baptised.  see his website for his official letter: Usama K. Dakdok, President of The Straight Way of Grace Ministry

'Spurious allegations', indeed.

As far as McCain, I believe there is a law that children born of military in valid US bases or installations are considered natural-born citizens.

CORRECTION: Also a concerned Christian Baptist preacher claims he did some research and found there was that no Muslim has to give up their religion to belong to Trinity and that there many Muslims in their congreagtion.  see his website for his official letter: Usama K. Dakdok, President of The Straight Way of Grace Ministry
(sorry, couldn't correct/edit my comment above)

You are quite correct.  Right Wing Groups got on this thing about Obama's Birth certificate long before this group of Clinton supporters started looking into it as a method to unseat Obama from his presumptive nominee status.  If this ploy worked, Hillary would be the only eligible candidate.  The problem is time and evidence.  The credentialling committee meets at the begining of the convention.

How would you feel if there were this kind of controversy about a Canadian candidate for your highest office? Would you just dismiss it? as 'ridiculous'?

0

Canadian do not have that problem though since they just need to be Citizen!

The US is one of the few countries where one has to be Born American!

Look at France, Sarkozy is a first generation Immigrant! Some Canadian Prime Ministers came to Canada from Europe and became Citizen, same in Australia!

Read Obama's book, he admits that as a youth he experimented with different religions. Not that hard to find out.

If you are making a statement about Obama because he was born without his parents being married, and trying to make it seem like he is less than something you need to tread very carefully. My wife and I weren't married when we had our twins, and I would like to think that people like you won't judge them based on that.

I have a dual citizenship....is there a problem there? I know people with military security clearances and dual citizenships, is this a problem for you? We can ask them to quit serving the American people if that would suit you.

And how old was Barack Obama when he was in Indonesia, do you know the answer? He was pretty young, do you think he was asked by anybody what he would like stamped in as his religion? I doubt it. I was indoctrinated into Christian bullcrap as a youth without having a choice. I had to recite the pledge of allegiance, take oaths for student offices in grade schools, and my parents sent me to a Catholic school, and took me to church on Sundays. It wasn't until I was older that I was able to make my own choice.

And you are not automatically a U.S. citizen if you were born on a military base overseas. I think I may know a little about this, considering I was part of the military registrations office. There is a lengthy procedure for applying. Also, scholars cite a now expired law passed by Congress in the 1700's, that a child born to a U.S. citizen overseas is considered a U.S. citizen.

As far as Rene assertion about his church and no requirement to be a Christian. There are Baptist churches in the South that allow agnostics, atheists, Catholic, and Methodist. How do I know, my wife used to go the church, and the pastor invited me, knowing that I was Protestant at the time. His words went something like this, "the house of God doesn't exclude a man who believes in God." But in your world you obviously believe in excluding people on certain religions, because of xenophobic fears. This is the reason I detest all religions.

But I guess everybody else is infallible, and without prejudice.

You don't understand Paschen, our country is not a truly equal and colorless society. Throughout the course of American history there has been racism, prejudice, and xenophobia. It started with slavery, even white women were sold as slaves. In the industrial revolution, Irish, Italians, and Germans were spit on and paid a pittance of wages. Catholics were not allowed to hold political office until the early 1900's. The Ku Klax Klan was formed by disaffected members of the Confederacy, which killed whites for helping blacks, and blacks for just trying to vote. The Civil Rights movement was met with blood and violence. And the Women's Rights movement, though not as contentious, was just as oppressive. I am half white and half Mexican, and I still experience racial prejudices where I am stationed back home. I don't experience it in the military, because we have different mindset, we depend on eachother to live. I have a guy from India in my squad, who I would give my life for in a heartbeat. There is also a half black and half asian guy in my squad who is good friends with a Russian Jew who is an atheist. But where we are stationed back in the U.S., there is still a lot of racial prejudice. The views of people in America are very different than those in Europe and Canada; generally speaking, that is.

Well there are a great many things I do not understand and the older i seem to get even though I believe to be young, yet the less I seem to understand! Well, we all have our dark spots in History and probably far more than we like to admit! No matter what nation or what clan or race that may be! We far from clean and sinless and we all have a great long way to go and much room for improvement! If we only dared to open our eyes and ears!

I beg to differ V Rod, Elvis currently lives in Montreal where he shares a room with BatBoy, they both work at a local Deli in which I am not privy to divulge.  So obviously your facts are flawed or you have an imposter, of which there are many!  Nuff Stated.  Oh, and Irish before the 18th century were never sold as slaves, they were given away as gifts. As for Canada, we are a Confederacy as well, but the difference being, we do not wear white sheets and pointy hats, we wear wool toques, spring, winter, summer and fall. We worship one God, his name is Molson, his Judas was Kokanee, Molson has 5 million disciples in Canada, and a few million in the US, most are seen congregating in places where the floor is covered in ice, and grown men beat small black rubber discs.  That is our culture, it is not pretty, but when a society such as ours needs to drink slurpees in -30 degree winter to keep warm, you should know, our mettle makes us who we are Canadians from the Great White North, Strong and Free (zing).  Hope this clears everything up.

V- And as Time has gone on in our relatively new Republic most of these issues have been dealt with,  within the constitutional process.  A black mans was retored his fullness by the same constitution that denied him the right to vote.  in 1870 an amendment gave Blacks the right to vote, Then woman almost 50 years later gained that right.  Searches and sezure etc.  So America is a county where we are becoming less racial and tollerent every day.  But we are no an Anachy.  We are a Republic of Laws.  So I think the fatalization your proplegate here is a biased look at what America has become.  We will always miss the mark and will always be in need of reform, But it is in order to form a more perfect union.
