I would not want more than one wife, however I have nothing against those that wish too, as long as theirs wife's are happy with such an arrangement.

Even if a woman had more than one husband equally I can not find any thing wrong with that if the husbands are happy. That of course hardly ever happens and never would. But lets think about that why not, oh yes, well Muhammad never brought the subject up. Oh that would be taboo within a religion that gives a woman worth of that of half a mans. (as a witness that is so).

Perhaps to some non Muslim men the thoughts of having two wife's would be something they really desire. Normally a Muslim can only afford one wife its only the richer guys that could afford it. Most Muslims men only have one wife not because of the expense, but because they respect or love, the woman they are with.

It is a scene of peaceful serenity. Rows of men kneel in deep prayer inside a large hall on the outskirts of Jakarta. The women sit just behind them, their heads bowed in quiet contemplation.

It could be afternoon prayers anywhere in Indonesia, a vast Muslim-majority archipelago, but this scene happens to be inside the sprawling headquarters of Jakarta's newest club - the "Global Ikhlwan" polygamy club.

Tucked away in a leafy suburb a few hours out of Jakarta, the club was set up in Indonesia earlier this year, but has its origins in Malaysia.

It says it has more than 1,000 members worldwide - as far away as Australia and the United States.
