CNN charging for free Government grant information?

This doesn't even seem possible. How can CNN be so bold as to be involved in this conspiracy to CHARGE people for "free" government information? Better yet how can the grants.gov site allow and supply the solitary link to this?

We here at Evil World News and Weather Network spent at least a dozen man hours Feb  28 09 searching for info and forms on current Government Grants.

What we found was VERY dissapointing. The grants.gov page with President Obama's smiling face and words like "opportunity", "available" and "FREE" had everything BUT those things.

 The lists of  "available" grants in the "search for grants" pages were up to THREE YEARS PAST due date for applications. So you have about 85% of the listings that are filling the pages with OLD worthless info.

Go see if you can get any free info without giving a credit card. Look at the corporate list at the top of the page CHARGING you for FREE Government information as an EXCLUSIVE agent on the GOVERNMENT WEB PAGE

Make sure you read the fine print as well. You can be charged $2.29 or $2.99 and then recive a charge for $40.00 per month from then on at some of the "Free" goverment info sites. It doesn't get very specific about the $40.00 (FOURTY US DOLLARS) monthly charge after that but it appears to be a permanent monthly charge. So figure $480.00 per year. This particular deal was through a Google search and not from the links above. But it is completely consistant with what we found on every site and page.

Why does the U.S. Government refuse to give information to Americans unless they charge a credit card through these corporations? Talk about discrimination.

Another thing: Why would anyone need a 2008 CD for up to date info with a computer? For a form? A hundred pages of text should take about a min to DL. I have to send for a CD In the MAIL? With an order placed on a credit card through a computer? You have to be kidding me. Americans should be able to download ANY government form for free in about 2 seconds or have it delivered within 24 hours from ANY post office or mailman for FREE. They should have a 1-800 number and adresses posted on every mailbox in the country for people without computers or phones. This is absolutely discriminatory against minorities and those who cannot afford a computer or poses the skills needed to find this info.

You can get free info on how to make Methamphetamine or a bomb easier than you can get "FREE" information from the Government. Hows that for an interesting fact?

And the most important questions: Why does a NEWS organization like CNN get the right to CHARGE people for this? Who negotiated THAT deal? How many Millions will CNN make from this, and how is this legal?

So if it looks like BS, smells like BS, and acts like BS. Guess what?
