CNN-IBN survey sponsored by Cong?

Those who read the CNN-IBN's pre-election survey, which predicted that the Congress would get back to power in the next elections, wondered whether it was sponsored by the Congress itself.

Yes, their doubt is genuine. According to highly placed sources, the survey was commissioned and financed by the Congress top brass. CNN-IBN channel's promoter Rajdeep Sardesai had, no doubt, Leftist background till the recent past, but the Congress brought him into its fold using coercive and blackmailing tactics.

He, in fact, had planned to have a tie-up with Andhra Jyothy daily in Hyderabad to launch a Telugu channel, but Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy successfully blocked the tie-up. Using his good offices with the high command, he threatened Rajdeep to see that his channel would lose its permission to have tie-up with international channel, CNN. And Rajdeep had no option but to surrender to the Congress. For his new-found loyalty to the Congress, he was given Padmasri award.

So, no wonder, CNN-IBN survey is in favour of the Congress. More interestingly, the channel findings were leaked to the media in Hyderabad, not by the channel authorities, but by the Chief Minister's Office. Got the point?
