New CNN poll finds 76% of Americans disapprove of the job George W Bush is doing as president. No other president in US history has had higher than 70% disapproval, and Bush has done it three times this year; even Nixon resigned with a 66% disapproval rating.

President Bush is the most unpopular president since approval ratings were first sought more than six decades ago. Seventy-six percent of those questioned in the poll disapprove of how he is handling his job.

The Prosecution of George W Bush for Murder

Also significant is that the Democrat-controlled 110th Congress is the most unpopular EVER. The fact they've done nothing productive, and failed to stop the Bush Administration's abuse of power or hold them accountable for any of their crimes likely has much to do with it. Thanks to Politisite for pointing this out and posting links in the comments below.

Who are the 24% who like him? Probably Saudi's who became US citizens, and got rich from his lie to go to War. And really....the blame must really be toward Cheney...who runs the store..not George right? Rumsfeld certainly holds some of the bad load as well. All in all...I think he has further decimated his fathers approval ratings as well.. I am rather ashamed of Bush senior for not stepping in and setting Jr. straight. Bush Sr. is as rotten to the core.May the Lord have more mercy on their souls than what they did to the innocent people in Iraq.

thx guys- dj, 24% don't "disapprove"- it's amazing, isn't it? Perhaps they don't even have an idiot box and get corporate news. Although I imagine there are some who could be on the jury when Bush stands trial and they still wouldn't convict, and would claim it was all a partisan witchhunt by Dems

The Dem. run congress's rating is even lower.... something that people seem to forget.

Erik, Lets be honest and add that Congress is also the most unpopular EVER.  Congress has a 75% unapproval rating. How is it that you can take one part of a study and not the other?  Is a left bias involved here?

The approval rating for all members of Congress sits at a dismal 22 percent, according to the CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll. About 75 percent of those surveyed said they disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job.

Good Points!  It's kind of sad isn't it?  I mean I don't like Mr. Bush and his policies but I do wonder how he must feel as a human being - to realize that he is so unpopular among the American people, and people around the world?

It's a good story as I'm sure this is on a lot of peoples' minds as they think back on all our past Presidents during this past century.

thx for the pics Angelica- interesting thought; Bush has indicated he doesn't pay attention to the news, gets his info from his handlers, but I wonder if he can feel the weight of public opinion. His presidency will likely be regarded as one of the worst, if not the worst in US history, and it will follow him to the end of his days- even to his ranch in Paraguay, if he's forced to flee the country to avoid prosecution.

Thx Politisite; i think both the Dems and Reps have been hijacked by corporate/elite interests and have become evil, so it's not hard to be "balanced" regarding them. Crimes against humanity are just that, no matter who's committing them.
