It is amazing to see how fast social networks simply do the obvious, put everyone who has something in common together in a virtual place. This is not new and happens since internet was born. The incredible thing is to see what those networks can do in places or chains that are as traditional as agriculture itself. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The CoffeeClub Network was born from a initiative of International Coffee Organization (ICO) in partnership with P&A Intenational Maketing and RadiumSystems. It is a social network devoted exclusively to talk about coffee! It doesn't matter if you are a barista, a grower, a trader, a roaster or simply love coffee; this network is to get together agents of a chain responsible for the wellbeing of 25 million families in the world.

There are many possibilities, including getting together growers and buyers to establish a more fair commerce. You can also create a theme community to talk of anything related with coffee or you can create a business community for you company to start making contacts in the coffee chain.

This will be a trend in the near future, social networks focused on an specific topic of interest or business. If this is happening in agribusiness sector, can you imagine it in other chains?
