Colombian FARC insists on Humanitarian deal to release hostages.
Churuguara, Falcon State, Venezuela, 21 August 2008. It has emerged today, that the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia -FARC- have renewed its stand on the liberation of hostages. In a ANNCOL communique, FARC has insisted in the completion of a Humanitarian deal that would allow the swap of hostages for the FARC prisoners in jail. FARC also expressed its willingness to continue fighting. FARC made a 29 people list of its current hostages and their possible swap prisoners. This is the first time, FARC makes an announcement on the Humanitarian deal after the liberation of Ingrid Betancourt. Colombia is currently going through the continuation of the Yidisgate case which involves incumbent President Alvaro Uribe in bribery to have his term extended.
