Comedy Central's impressario,  the venerable Jon Stewart,  host of the Daily Show,   New York City,   has out-foxed the Fox news network,  and put a nick in their "fair and balanced" crown.

I think it is clear that if they are willing to deceive on one point, they may be unfaithful in larger matters:    Hannity has been showing September footage as proof of last week's huge turnout, and that's not fair and balanced:

In the US, Fox News has been promoting a series of right-wing protestsagainst Obama and the Democrats' health care plan. They urge viewers to attend the protests, then give them huge coverage on the network.

But the network went a step too far this week, as Jon Stewart showed on the Daily Show.

The network's Sean Hannity had a segment in which he and two conservative Republican congressmen crowed about the size of an anti-health care rally held last week. But as The Daily Show discovered, they used video footage from a much larger rally held in September. What tipped them off? Thursday was clear and the leaves on the trees were a beautiful autumn colour. On September 12, the sky was cloudy and the leaves green. Check out the clip for yourself.

This episode shows perfectly why the White House has decided to treat Fox News as a political opponent, not a news organisation like CNN.

The "venerable" John Stewart? Maybe that was an honest mistake, the wrong video clip. None of "Jon Stewart's" mistakes are as honest as that one, and there are plenty of examples of that.

He should call his show, "News for the Reason-Impaired and Morally-Undeveloped".

My other question is why do so many Jewish comedians make believe that they are Italians and WASPS? Why not be like Jacky Mason and let the world know you are Jewish?

A complicated question that will cause those who discuss it to be labeled as anti-Semitic?

1.  Stewart is indeed venerable.

2.  We in the greater Metro New York area could never view Stewart as anything BUT Jewish:  His features are Jewish,  his name ('Jonathon' ) is very Jewish,  his mannerisms are Jewish.

3.  I am neither Reason-Impaired nor morally undeveloped. Stewart's show is satirical:  It is not a news show, it is a Comedy Central show.  The article did what I say it did:  Showed Hannity to be faking.

Them's are fightin' words,  Roy:  Real fightin' words.  Of course you know this means war?

"Hail, hail, Freedonia!"

When are you going to hit me in the face with kid gloves?

Stewart is a con man. Hannity is a sloganeer. But that mistake may have been honest. Jumping to the conclusion that it was an act of deception is Stewart's con man going full force.

The young are led down the path by the Venerable Pied Piper, as long as his writers are not on strike and someone feeds him good lines.

He is an eidolon with a Daemon of a writing staff.

He never terms himself a news show. Sometimes through his humor he exposes a story. I would think the fact that he is on the Comedy Channel would be self-evident.

He caught Fox fair and square. Fair cop, own up to it and move on. Good catch by his research team IMHO - lackluster work by Fox producers ...somebody either too lazy or wanting a cheap shot against the Administration is all.

Saying Fox is a farse makes you a fart!!  Just kidding a little...:  )..I like YJ..really.  All stations are... so shut up all of you...Fox just jabs at the loons more and MSM embellishes and inflates a helluva a lot more.  For them to start doing the keeping record of rights and wrongs is so unprofessional but it is American and thank God Freedom at work..let em go If you don't watch a large percent of either of them please do not echo the collective.  Think for yourself.

Hannity is not a deep person as Roy and I have discussed.  He still is as sincere as he can be and he is an ol fashioned patriot.  He definitely is on the entertainment side.  but the morining fox is not a farse.

The Beltboys and Rita Van Sustern are very good.  ( is it rita...gotta sip more caffeine...)
