The Comedy of Wine: 'Bottle Shock' Movie Premiere in Napa Valley: July 26

No 'Divine Comedy' or 'Comedie Humaine' here!

I don't intend to travel to Napa Valley for the Bottle Shock Movie Premiere.

The only reason I know about it is an e-mail from Margie Tosch (Wine and Hospitality Network) who sent me An Offer to Win Tickets to the screening at a local winery.

Her note put the movie on my radar.

The movie is loosely based on the tasting (May 1976) in which a pair
of California wines beat some of France's most celebrated reds and
whites. It is known as the Judgment of Paris and Mike Steinberger wrote about what he thought The French didn't learn from the legendary wine-tasting on the 30th anniversary for Slate.

Honestly, I think it's a big mistake that you don't go for the premiere.  I saw it at Sundance, and was blown away.  Not only is the acting very good, but the cinematography and soundtrack are exceptional.  I recommend you go if you still can.

And Jean-Pierre Gillain is really funny in the movie when he plays Pierre Brejoux!
