Mr XXXX was later granted bail with a surety of £200,000 on condition that he hand in his gun licence and stay away from his mother-in-law. Mike Penning, Conservative MP for <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Hemel Hempstead wants an inquiry into why a Met police inspector charged with murdering his wife apparently killed himself and his mother-in-law while on bail and was not in custody awaiting trial.  The judge says he cannot remember why he gave Ch Insp XXXX bail. The CPS had opposed bail

 

19 04 2002 Policeman (55) jailed for plotting murder. A potential serial killer sentenced to two life terms in prison after plotting sex killings with his ex-lover.

 

05 06 2006 Sergeant (45) tried to kill his ex-wife by sawing through her neck has been  jailed for 12 years. The Court heard that Sergeant XXXXX radioed for help and chased Kelly before wrestling him to the ground.

 

00 00 0000 PC broke fellow officer WPC's arm in stabbing. The WPC informed him that their relationship was over Chelmsford Crown Court was told. The two Essex officers shared a home in Colchester at the time of the May attack He also admitted causing more than £600 worth of damage to the WPC’s car. The judge was also told that the PC had attacked the WPC on a number of previous occasions. The court heard that the PC had been convicted of affray at Sheffield Crown Court when he was 14 years Old  but had been allowed to join the police

 

19 04 2003 Policeman (42) jailed for stabbing wife – jailed for 4 years. He had repeatedly begged her to give their marriage another chance, and even suggested a suicide pact rather than split up. As their young children played upstairs, the 42-year-old detective plunged the knife into her stomach, Inner London Crown Court heard. The jury rejected Needham's claims he had slipped. He was also found guilty of intimidating his wife to try to make her drop the case.

 

28 12 2006 Police Detective (36) 'tried to strangle' wife but denies assaulting his wife Jacqueline on two occasions at their home in Aberdeen. On 24 01 2007 he was convicted and jailed for 6 months.

 

03 12 2004 Met Officer (38) Jailed for indecently assaulting two teenage scouts during a camping trip has been  jailed for three-and-a-half years. He admitted five sex attacks between 1992 and 1998 at an earlier hearing. He was also put on the sex offenders register and banned from working with children for 15 years.

 

00 00 0000 Flying Squad Detective (45) has been  jailed for 18 months for attempting to groom a 12-year-old girl for sex on Police Phone. He used his police mobile phone to send obsessive and lurid text messages to the youngster.  But the victim was in fact one of his colleagues, working undercover from Scotland Yard. The married father-of-two, who served with the police for 25 years admitted attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity, ten counts of attempting to incite a child to view indecent material and six counts of making and possessing indecent pictures of children.

 

14 02 2003 Community officer PC (41) jailed for abusing Scouts. He sexually abused boys in his Scout troop has been  jailed for 10 years. PC XXXX would ply youngsters with alcohol, show them pornographic magazines and videos and encourage them to play sex games. Judge YYYY told him "You have not shown a shred of contrition not a shred of remorse for what you have done," he told XXX. "The breach of trust was of the gravest kind. You were both a scout leader and a police officer and you were trusted by the boy and his parents. "You have brought real shame on the scouting movement. Similarly you bring shame on the uniform you wear as a police officer."

 

21 06 2000 Policeman (33)/custody sergeant jailed for rape he being the subject of a investigation by the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) about five years ago. The PCA recommended that no action be taken against the officer and was not therefore disciplined. His 'Police' colleagues told PCA detectives investigating the rapes  they were unhappy with some of the things he had said to women colleagues and prisoners. He was convicted of Two rapes, the indecent assault and burglary with intent to rape – some which took place in the cells of the Police Station, He had broken into the home of a 45 yr old woman and raped her – he being a Police Officer for 15 years. More victims came forward after the 2000 conviction.

 

15 02 2005 PC(36) jailed for child abduction. He met the 25yr old Girl and was convicted of abduction and indecent assault in 2004. He pretended to be a teenager ON_LINE. Sentenced to 18 months in jail the Judge said that he was a risk to young girls.

 

14 11 2006 PC (25) admits teen sex charges with a 14yr old girl. Sentenced to 12 months in Prison. Had been an Officer for two years.

 

00 00 0000 PC of 10 yrs jailed for 10 yrs for raping two teenagers on his beat. A former detective who knew XXX claimed that he did not know anyone in the force who liked him and colleagues dreaded being put on a shift with him. He said: "They considered him to be dangerous and too handy with his fists." It was common knowledge that he would attend a crime and, if he liked the look of the female victim when he visited their home, he would leave his notebook behind or make another excuse just so he could go back by himself.

 

24 03 2007 Pc (31) guilty of squad car indecency. Pc XXXXX was found guilty of performing sex acts in front of a female prisoner as she was being transferred from London to Wales. He broke down in tears as a jury at Swansea Crown Court returned a unanimous verdict. He was found guilty of two counts of indecent exposure and one of abusing a position of public trust after a 10-day trial.

 

15 04 2008 Sex attack constable (50) keeps pension after being convicted of indecently assaulting three women. One of victims, a 60yr old, said the PC had been rewarded for his crimes. She was sexually assaulted by the off-duty police officer and told the BBC she is "disgusted" that he has been allowed to keep his full pension. He would have lost his entire pension if he had been sacked but he was allowed to retire instead. Which is against the new rules and regulations that allow prison officers to retire on a full pension when convicted of a criminal offence. The Scottish Police Federation said no-one could defend what Burt had done but added that any officer who had completed 30-years of service was entitled to their police pension.

 

23 12 2005 Metropolitan police officer (24) jailed over two sex assaults – he used his identification card to lure women into his car for which he was jailed for three years and nine months. The assaults involved a woman (21) from Herts and a 27yo woman from north-west London. She said moments after they set off he exposed himself and then assaulted her.

 

06 06 2001 Inspector (38) jailed 12 years for the rape of two women after Officers carried out an investigation. He was convicted of subjecting one of his victims to a prolonged attack and of raping another woman on a number of occasions when on Police Duty. He raped one of his victims several times, including once shortly after she attempted to commit suicide because of ongoing abuse from him. It emerged during the trial of XXXX that he was only charged after an inquiry by another Police force after his own force had found insufficient evidence against him; that there were concerns of a cover-up in the investigation. The OTHER FORCE handed them new evidence which then put an end to this officers reign of terror.

 

08 05 2007 Sgt (48) of 17 yrs in the force jailed after raping a girl of seven. He was jailed for 12 years. A jury found him guilty on 30 April of one count of rape, 10 indecent assaults and six counts of indecency with a child.
 

04 10 2002 Ex-policeman (61) jailed for sex assault. Ex PC XXXXX of Norfolk, was found guilty last month of indecent assault and indecency with a child when the girl was aged between seven and 15. Jailed for 4 years. XXX left YYYY police force with an exemplary record in 1992 after 22 years as a policeman, including six as a schools liaison officer.

 

08 08 2003 PC (37)  jailed for six months for indecently assaulting a 15-year-old girl whom he met when she did work experience at his station. Jurors heard how Pc XXXX met the girl when she did a work experience placement at YYYYY police station in Hampshire. The pair exchanged telephone numbers and he had sex with her on two occasions after the work placement in 1999.

 

13 09 2007 Detective constable of 32 years Service was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court for attacking an army cadet in the 1980s. The detective constable who worked for a unit investigating cases of child abuse has been jailed for five years for sexually assaulting a teenager.

 

25 08 2000 PC (46) Jailed after getting his kicks from making sordid calls to schoolgirls - including one from his desk at the station. He made 590 calls, most of them to phone boxes outside schools, a court heard. When he was arrested by colleagues, PC XXXX asked his son-in-law to claim responsibility, persuading him to make a signed confession. But the PC's lies caught up with him and Judge Gerard Harkins  jailed him for three months after admitting a charge of perverting the course of justice.

 

22 05 2002 PC (48) Barnsley  found guilty of four counts of indecent assault on the girl, then aged 14 inside a village police station in South Yorkshire. Peter YYYY, prosecuting, said the PC had assaulted the girl several times between January 1991 and December, 1992.

 

20 08 2004  PC XXX sentenced to six months in prison for committing a sex act in front of young girls. He had denied five counts of outraging public decency and four of   indecency with a child  during incidents in, Northumberland, last July. He was also placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for seven years

 

05 11 1998 PC XXX (31) of Cheshire Police sexually assaults FIVE women including a fellow Officer, was found guilty after a six-day trial by unanimous decision of the jury at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday. He also  assaulted a female prisoner in cells, two women civilian Cheshire police employees and a petrol station attendant.

19 04 2006 Ex PC (86) jailed for teenager rape. He was given an eight-year prison sentence for the rape of a teenager school girl more than 20 years ago. The rape happened in 1985 when she was a 15-year-old schoolgirl. His victim made a complaint after discussing the 1985 attack years later with a family friend.

 

25 10 2004 PC (47) jailed for six years for sexual acts with children. He was given 12 jail terms totaling six years' detention. XXX was accused of indecently assaulting five teenage girls at his village home between 1988 and 1994. A sixth girl, then aged 15, accused him of an indecent assault while he helped train air cadets. Ch Supt Paul YYYY, of the force's professional standards department, said Glynn's 20-year pension provision would be passed to Home Secretary David Blunkett, for a final say on withdrawing the allowance.

 

23 03 2007 Ex Pc (51) is jailed for 15 years for sex attacks on four four girls. A jury at Cardiff Crown Court found him guilty of 13 sex offences, including attempted rape, indecent assault and indecency with a child. Judge Philip Richards told Glover: "You substantially damaged each of them and their childhoods were destroyed. "You dominated each of these young girls, forcing them into sexual activity for your sexual gratification against their wishes. "During your trial you characterized your victims as being liars and fortune seekers."

 

19 05 2006 Senior Prison Officer (35) convicted of five rapes and the Judge recommends that he is never released. Jailed for life  for a series of rapes, kidnaps and indecent assaults against women and young girls in West Yorkshire. The judge, Mr Justice Goldring, recommended that the twice-married father-of-one XXXXX  should never be released although he will be considered for parole in twelve and a half years.

 

04 12 2003 Metropolitan Police trainee (30) jailed for rape. The court had heard how he "callously" attacked the 25-year-old woman in her lodgings after he had drunk six pints and five bottles of beer during a night out in March this year.

The PC picked up XXX in YYYY’s red light district and took her to BBBBB Street police station where she performed a sex act on him at the police station, which was unmanned overnight. Oldham magistrates heard the father of two children aged three and 10 months left without paying the woman the £20 they had agreed. He admitted soliciting a woman from a vehicle for prostitution, and was fined £100, and ordered to pay £2,546 costs. The PC resigned from his post at Greater Manchester Police on Monday.

 

17 09 2004 PC (37) guilty of sex with under age child. PC XXX pleaded guilty admitting having sex with a 14-year-old girl was  jailed for four years.  On 5 December 2003 the PC was cautioned for wasting police time following an investigation into claims that he stabbed himself to win compensation - The Crown Prosecution Service later conducted an inquiry after suspicions were raised over the circumstances of the injury. A panel of senior officers  decided in the New Year that he can keep his job. On the 15 July 2005 ex PC XXX has his four-year prison sentence reduced by 12 months at the Court of Appeal.

 

30 03 2007 Prison Officer (28) who raped a woman (20) at knifepoint in her home has been  jailed for six years. Judge Michael Kay QC told him: "The circumstances are totally appalling."She was absolutely petrified. Some madness had got into your head and you could not control yourself."

 

14 02 2005 PC (43 ) admits four counts of indecent assault on boys under 16 and two charges of indecency with a child. Judge Michael YYYY at XXXX Crown Court, ordered a further three counts of downloading indecent images of children, three counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency to lie on file.

 

16 12 2005 PC (29) sexually assaulted student. Judge Stanley XXXX told him: "You visited a deliberate sexual assault on a man who was asleep. He was sentenced to 18 months in jail.

 

26 07 2002 Policeman (36) jailed for sexually assault. He was jailed for five years for indecently assaulting the 17-year-old schoolgirl after dragging her off the street into bushes. The teenager, a Chinese school girl in Britain, was pushed into bushes near Hendon railway station, north London. The girl was saved when neighbours heard her screams and telephoned police, said Timothy Langdale QC, prosecuting.

00 00 0000 PC (38) was  jailed for 18 months after admitting misconduct in office.  He committed sex abuse offences against a 12-year-old boy, and was convicted 16 years ago. The court heard he accessed files for a friend to confirm that HE was not being investigated over child sex abuse inquiries. The FRIEND was later jailed for five years for sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy and distributing and making indecent images of children. The PC accessed the police data for the FRIEND between 1 January and 25 September 2003, while serving as a police officer with Hampshire Constabulary.

He will now be allowed to return to duty with XXXX Police Force whose Chief Constable YYYY has ruled that he must never again be allowed contact with vulnerable women. A woman who claimed she was raped by the PC has been offered £25,000 by the XXXX Police Force in settlement rather than fight the case in court. The PC ----- assisted by the Police Federation, ----- appealed against his dismissal and was reinstated after the Chief Constable accepted a procedural error - a delay in disclosing a witness statement - made the panel's findings unsafe. The alledged victim said: "This man should be in prison for what he did to me, not back in the police."  She gave evidence that she was forced to perform a sex act on the police officer, who then raped her, leaving a DNA sample on a seat of the police van.  The PC had claimed he had masturbated inside the van. Police Misconduct Panel - ruled that the woman's story was "credible" and dismissed the officer's explanation as "ridiculous", that he had he had masturbated inside the van and recommended his dismissal. In 1997, while he was in the Army Air Corps, PC XXXX stood trial at <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Stafford Crown Court accused of raping and indecently assaulting a 21-year-old woman outside a Wolverhampton nightclub. The jury failed to reach a verdict and PC Overton was cleared at a retrial.

 

00 00 0000 PC allowed to stay in the force by his Chief Constable despite finding him guilty at a disciplinary hearing of lewd conduct towards shop girls on his beat. In one store, management had brought in an instruction that the PC should not be left alone with female staff. In June, PC XXX was found guilty at a disciplinary hearing of 11 counts of discreditable conduct ranging from inappropriate language to indecent assault. Reprimanded at the internal police hearing for a string of disciplinary offences involving women. He was fined £600, forced to take a pay cut and reprimanded for disciplinary offences which included indecent assault and using inappropriate language to women working in shops. The PC was then suspended again following a new complaint from a 20-year-old woman. The woman alleges that he ordered her into the back of a police van and indecently assaulted her in the early hours. 2 August 2001 PC XXX was found not guilty of running his hand up the woman thighs and groping her between the legs during a stop-check on a late-night patrol. The jury of seven men and five women at the four-day trial did not know that the officer had previously been fined and reprimanded at an internal police hearing for a string of disciplinary offences involving women.
 
31 03 2004 PC (33) indecently assaulted youth and stole police property. Police discovered the indecent assault offences while investigating the disappearance of equipment.

20 03 2002 Ex PC (68) raped and sexually assaulted eight children over a 17-year period in the 1970s and 1980s has been  Jailed for 14 years.  He was found guilty of all charges. One of his victims - now a 35-year-old woman - told the jury the attacks had started when she was just six or seven old. They continued until she was 18.

22 12 2005 PC (35) has been  jailed for five years for sexually assaulting two women and a 15-year-old while in uniform. The charges covered six years between 1998 and 2004 when the PC was a constable in Strathclyde Police's U Division in Ayrshire.

 

13 09 2007 PC (24) sex attacker involving girls as young as 14 years old was Jailed today for two years and four months for assaults and acts of indecency. Two of the charges related to incidents in 2003, just seven months after the PC had graduated from the Goulburn police academy and while he was still a probationary constable. Judge Payne said XXX had been dismissed from the police in April 2004.

02 09 2002 A former special constable from Norfolk whom sexually assaulted two teenage girls has been  jailed for 18 months. He abused the girls, aged 13 and 14 , in a flat in a house in Chilwell. In one incident he tried to handcuff one girl to a bed.

 

03 03 2004 Policeman (36) jailed for rape. The PC who raped, filmed and photographed a drunken woman has been  jailed for 12 years.

 

13 12 2001 PC (50) whom was awarded the Queen's Gallantry Medal has been  jailed for three years for indecent assault. The indecent assaults involved four teenage girls and took place at a cadet unit that the PC ran in 1996. The prosecution said one of them was  given cherry brandy and woke up in a wood to find XXX indecently assaulting her.

 

10 12 2004 Jail for ex-Pc who raped girl. A retired community policeman has been  jailed for 12 years for a string of sex attacks on a schoolgirl – he visiting schools as part of his job. After he retired other officers in South Wales Police discovered he had carried out a seven-year reign of abuse. He raped and forced a 15-year-old girl to dress up for pornographic pictures, warning her not to tell anyone, he told the girl : "Who would believe you? I am the police."

 

29 07 2005 PC (41) jailed for child porn offences. He possessed worst examples of child pornography, including children being sexually abused, on computers at home. He downloaded hundreds of images of child porn has been  jailed for eight months. He resigned after he was arrested by his own force!.

 

07 12 2004 Ex-police chief (44) jailed for child porn. He downloaded hundreds of child pornography pictures and was jailed for four months. His computer was seized from his study and an examination carried out which found a total of 657 pornographic images on the computer.

 

11 06 2003 PC (38) found guilty of making child porn has resigned. In April Knutsford Crown Court found him guilty on three counts of possessing and making indecent images of girls under 16 on his home computer.

Two months ago PC XX was put on the sex offender's register for five years, fined £500 and ordered to pay £1,000 costs for possessing and making child porn in 2001.

 

14 09 2001 MI6 officer (former) working for Cleveland Police was discovered to have almost 2,000 pornographic images stored on floppy disks and both his computers. The PC (53) was given a community rehabilitation order for two years and ordered to sign on the Sex Offenders' Register for five years. A judge at Newcastle Crown Court ruled that he should not go to prison because he had not peddled the pictures to others

 

24 10 2003 Ex Detective(57) spared jail over child porn. He was sentenced to a three-year community rehabilitation order after pleading guilty to 13 counts of making indecent images of children. The child pornography was found on XXXX’s computer at his work premises in east London.

 

28 03 2003 Child porn PC(34) jailed for 6 months at Ipswich crown court, after pleading guilty to the possession of 330 indecent photographs of children. He was dismissed by Cambridgeshire police earlier this month, following an eight-year as a police constable.

 

25 03 2003 Child porn PC (32) jailed after pleading guilty at Chichester Crown Court to 19 charges of making indecent photographs of children.  He was arrested as part of Operation Ore after his credit card details were passed to Hampshire Police by the FBI, according to police.

15 11 2004 PC (32) of Kent police pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court to 24 charges of making an indecent photograph of a child. He had almost 4,000 indecent images of children. He was jailed for a year on Monday but was freed as he had served six months on remand.

 

12 08 2003 Police Sergeant (49) 26-years as a policeman jailed. He had one of the largest collections of child pornography in the UK. He was jailed for 15 months after admitting 13 counts of making indecent images of children -  Some as young as five.

 

20 03 2003 Policeman (33) jailed for child porn. Had served with Notts Police for 12 years. He downloaded more than 1,000 pornographic images of children from American websites has been jailed for 12 months. The court heard that officers who seized his home computer and a second hard drive found a total of 1,005 pornographic photographs and 26 indecent video clips.

 

16 10 2003 Child porn PC put on probation after admitting having 5,613 photos and 148 indecent video images, all of children between the ages of five and 15. He was put on probation for three years and ordered to attend an 18-month sex offenders treatment course.

An Officer for 27 Years quit his job with the Cheshire force after his arrest in September 2002. He also admitted 15 specimen counts of downloading child pornography and possessing 8,333 child pornography images indecent images of children. He was sentenced to two and a half years in prison when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.

 

12 02 2003 PC for 24 years admits child porn charges. pleaded guilty to making eight indecent images of children. He was dismissed when the offences came to light. 

01 07 2004 Sgt(46)  fined £500 over internet porn after being found guilty of downloading hundreds of child pornography images. He was charged after his wife Lesley complained to the police about his actions.

 

27 11 2003 Police inspector(49) jailed - Child pornography. He was arrested after police officers working on Operation Ore, a crackdown on child porn on the internet, found more than 100 images when they raided his home. He was placed on the sex offenders' register for 10 years.

24 10 2003 Policeman Sgt jailed for theft. 22 years Service started taking small amounts of cash from prisoners when he got into financial difficulties, Sheffield magistrates were told. He was jailed for two months. He worked at the city's Bridge Street charge office and was eventually caught by an undercover officer.

 

26 11 2002 Detective Constable fined over Harry Potter fraud. He was convicted of attempting to pervert the course of justice and dishonestly obtaining a money transfer by deception. The Judge ordered that he pay £500 costs, expressed disbelief that the 32-year-old officer had risked his career to gain just £310.

 

05 03 2004 Depressed Pc(35) spared prison term. He stole more than £1,000 from prisoners and was spared jail after a court heard he was suffering from depression at the time. He also took £235 from another suspect at the city's divisional police headquarters at St Mary's Wharf in November 2001.

PC AAAA(45) robbed an 89 year old pensioner of £1,000  jailed for 12-month; PC BBBB robbed an 83 year old pensioner of £700  jailed for 9 months; PC CCCC robbed an 89 year old of £2,800  jailed for 4 years. PC AAAA was called to a suspected heart attack victims home afterwhich £100 of the mans savings was found to be missing – the victim recovering and reporting the theft!. This Officer had run up debts of £18,000 and stole from a car during a covert operation by a Metropolitan Police Anti-corruption team. It then emerged that the Officer was charged with theft as far back as 1991 when serving as a Officer with the Suffolk Force- he being acquited of the offence at the direction of the Judge towards the Jury.

 

05 06 2004 PC (45) jailed in £4m vehicle fraud. He was jailed for 2.5 years after he was found guilty of conspiracy to defraud finance companies. He offered colleagues a variety of cars. XXXX prosecuting, said the "wheels fell off the wagon" when an anonymous letter, signed by an "honest copper" was sent to West Midlands Police alleging that the Pc was part of a large-scale vehicle fraud run by his father-in-law. Mr CCC said: "You knew that people were purchasing cars from you because you, as a police officer, said it was all above board."

 

16 11 2001 Detective Inspector(49) admits false expenses. Fined and ordered to pay £83,500 costs for falsely claiming journeys in his Porsche sports car. Claimed for visits to the Special Branch offices at Cardiff International Airport - but officers said they had rarely seen him.

 

24 09 1998 Detective Chief Inspector(50) jailed for corruption. A policeman for 34 years accepted a £10,000 bribe to try to sabotage the YYY prosecution. In July 1996 YYYY aimed a shot at a police officer outside a Liverpool nightclub and was charged with attempted murder.

 

29 12 2005 Policeman (23) is fined for crash lies. He crashed his BMW lying to the ambulance service, admitted careless driving and having no insurance. He was fined £560 and sentenced to 200 hours of community service.

21 10 2004  PC (32) jailed for stealing money from a purse has been sacked. He was caught in Operation Aries, which had been set up by his colleagues in Gwent Police. He was jailed for three months earlier this week after admitting stealing £80. PC XXX was on duty in a police car in Abergavenny in September when he was approached by a plain clothes officer, who did not identify himself. He told the constable he had found a purse and wanted to hand it in. The purse had contained £80 in notes, but when XXX handed it to the station inquiry officer it was empty. Officers then checked that the serial numbers of the notes Ellis had in his pocket matched those they had earlier placed in the purse. A police officer for nine years, told police in interview: "The opportunity was there so I took it."  

 

23 09 2003 PC (55) stole from children's charity. He admitted stealing a total of nearly £9,800 between August 1999 and June 2000 from the Dream Foundation. While 170 children had their dreams fulfilled by the charity, only £320,000 was spent on the children from overall receipts of £1.1m

 

17 02 2006 PC (42) guilty of fake car theft. Fraud claim in January 2000 found out to be a liar in Feb 2006. He faked the theft of his own car and burning it for insurance money. In Court was also accused of perjury and could now face further proceedings. An officer with 20 years service, doused it in an accelerant and set it on fire,  burning his hand and scorching his eyebrows in the resulting flashback, the court heard.Scottish Crime Squad detective will instead carry out 240 hours community service  thanks to a plea by his 14-year-old daughter.

 

31 03 2000 Det Sgt(58) Jailed for extortion. Serving Officer of 27 years convicted at the Old Bailey. race-fixing allegations – jockey said that he would be implicated  unless he paid a bribe of £2000 to police officers to avoid being charged.

25 03 2003 PC(42) guilty of eight charges of dishonestly obtaining money by deception last month. 22 years Service ordered to complete community service. He injured his back at work in 1996, and underwent surgery. Four years later he claimed he slipped at XX Police station on a recently-mopped floor and that the accident had aggravated his original back injury. He went off sick in November 2000 and never worked as an officer again. The PC had also been receiving incapacity benefit from the Benefits Agency from May 16, 2001, to which the eight charges are related. In October 2001, the force's Discipline and Complaints Branch were tipped off that XXX was working as an parachute instructor at XX airfield in North Lincolnshire. 

 

25 02 2005 Inspector (41) guilty of selling stolen bikes. He was arrested in August 2003 after the owner of one of the stolen items recognised his £700 custom built cycle being advertised. Ten bicycles valued from £700 to £1,500 were found in his flat by officers from the XXX Financial Investigations Unit.

16 05 2003 Policeman(45) jailed for 'brazen' theft. During a raid on a house filled with illegal immigrants an officer found a Sony camcorder and questioned how an illegal immigrant could afford such an expensive luxury item to which the PC took it from him and said words to the effect of  'Which one of you is having it?'. It was later discovered at the PC’s home - jailed for six months. It was a totally inappropriate comment for an officer to make," Mr XX prosecuting said!.  How many times have people complained of a theft by a police officer and told there is no proof

 

06 06 2005 Police inspector(38) jailed for dead dad scam. He used a bank account to conceal a six-figure sum run-up through a life-assurance scam and credit card deception. jailed for 18 months. The police inspector hid money his dying father had fraudulently salted away - So for many years a 'Police inspector' knew that his father was committing criminal offences. Sentencing him, Judge XX Xxxx said he had brought disgrace on himself and the police force. His Father had opened 33 bank accounts and credit cards with 16 different financial institutions before his death in April 2001.

11 11 2002 PC(44) lying to get compensation awards. He lied about injuries suffered while arresting criminals and was awarded thousands of pounds in compensation has been jailed for nine months. He claimed he suffered a broken jaw and severe neck and back bruising in repeated applications for taxpayers' money. He had also "deliberately lied" on three occasions when he told the 'CIC board' he had never claimed compensation before.

 

28 09 1999 Ex Superintendent in Housing grants fraud. jailed for his part in a £500,000 housing renovation grants fraud - sentenced to two years in prison after he admitted five charges of deception and one of money laundering. His brother Reginald was jailed for a year. A four-year police inquiry centered on properties owned by the Superintendent’s family in XXXX uncovered false invoices submitted to the YYYYCouncil  for work that was never done.

 

13 10 2004 PC admits to trying to steal thousands of pounds from a fund for deprived children. jailed for 18 months.  The officer's wife was given a 120-hour community service order after admitting two counts of deception in a separate hearing. A CID Officer pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the PC having being taped talking about being "a rich man this year" and the fact the cash "would allow me to be free". It involved more than £6,000 of housing and council tax benefits from Enfield Borough Council, north <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />London. They were eventually arrested just days after the London Borough of XXXX decided to give them £10,000 of taxpayers' cash.

 

27 05 2005 Policeman(43) stole from colleagues. He was convicted of stealing £6,700 in April. Judge Andrew XXX told him: "I am not going to send you to prison - "I do not think that is in your interest, but much more importantly I do not think in the interests of the public at large." 

 

07 04 2006 PC(39) sold secrets to gangsters. He gained information from force computers which was then sold to the underworld for £1,000 a time. He joined the force in 1985 ( 21 years Service) and could have made up to £80,000 from selling information. The PC in Liverpool was caught on CCTV surveillance visiting XXX and asking whether someone who had asked for information was going to pay for it. jailed for two years and 11 months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to corrupt.

 

17 08 2000 PC(53) jailed for theft of gun. He gave away a pistol handed in during a guns amnesty in March 1997 was jailed for six months at Sheffield crown court yesterday. He was a firearms licensing officer in South Yorkshire found guilty at an earlier trial of theft. He was also convicted of stealing two other guns and cash, and false accounting. He stole money taken from people renewing firearms certificates.

24 10 2007 Two PC’s in insurance scam. WPC XXX has admitted carrying out the fraud after crashing her uninsured sports car in a field. She formed an elaborate scheme to con her insurance company out of almost £6,000 - narrowly escaped a jail sentence. The court heard the WPC had been driving illegally, without insurance, when she crashed her car on YY January 2007. A week later, she applied to an insurance company for cover, and waited another month to report the accident. The court was told the scheme was exposed when a relative went to the authorities following a family dispute. PC VVVV had handed over the fraudulent insurance documents to the force.  Both lost their jobs with TTTT Police.

 

00 02 2002 PC(34) theft from a charity in memory of a colleague who died of cancer. Four weeks after the collection and fundraising he and a Former WPC went on holiday to the US spending that money. Both sentenced at Manchester.

 

15 07 2003 Det. Insp. stole £60,000. A 25 yrs service Det. Insp. told two men suspected of obtaining the money illegally that they could not have it back and attempted to steal £60,000 confiscated by police like a "seasoned fraudster", a court heard. He tricked a Hertfordshire Police accountant into giving him a cheque made out to one of the men - and then tried to cash it, the Old Bailey was told. He decided to siphon off the money seized from suspected criminals at an MXX  service station. He had also enlisted a burglar(46) of Watford, to help him. jailed for 15 months.

27 06 2003 Five detectives jailed. One of the biggest anti-corruption investigations in the UK. The five Flying Squad police officers based at XXXX in London were convicted of stealing more than £200,000 of the money recovered after a £.4m security van hijack in Jan 1995. The Metropolitan Police (MPS) said on Friday. 2 Innocent men convicted by the above corrupt police officer Det XXX are released from prison 

 

27 10 2003 Former Police detective( 47) in Tax Fraud. He lived a luxury lifestyle in Las Vegas has been Jailed for five-and-a-half years on tax fraud charges. The Former Nottinghamshire Police detective constable XXX was involved in an international mobile phone sales fraud which avoided nearly £6. 5m in unpaid tax. He admitted a further count of conspiracy worth £3. 4m

 

05 01 2006 Insurance fraud policeman(49) jailed.He made claims for repairs to his motorbike which he had not carried out, XXX Crown Court heard. The PC was jailed for a year for making false insurance claims worth more than £1000. The Herts Police officer was convicted last month of making a false claim and acting in a way which intended to pervert the course of justice. "You displayed a breathtaking degree of arrogance," said Judge XXXX.

 

12 05 2004 PC stole £10 from Sergeant. A policeman with 20 years of service from XXX faces losing his job after he was found  guilty of stealing £10 from his sergeant's office. The two £5 notes were taken from a filing cabinet in the office in December 2002.

11 06 2003 PC(44) jailed for drunken attack. He left a man man brain damaged for life to which he was sentenced for a mere 15 months and he will probably only serve 8 months!.  A jury found him guilty of causing grievous bodily harm at Newcastle Crown Court on Tuesday. 

05 03 1999 PC AAA - dog cruelty sentences cut. A dog trainer at XXX was found guilty of six charges but on appeal had his jail sentence reduced by a month - He admitting instructing handlers to kick dogs on five occasions. Sgt BBB (38) who was head of training at the dog section headquarters had also been given a four-month jail sentence after being convicted of seven cruelty charges. On appeal Judge XX rejected his appeal against the convictions but reduced his sentence to a 28-day jail term, suspended for a year. PC CCCC was convicted of cruelty after a dogs death – ordered to do 200 hours of community service and pay £1,000 towards prosecution costs he was also reprimanded but allowed to stay in the police force. PC AAA and Sgt BBB were dismissed from the Police  Service. Three police officers have told a jury how they were all instructed to string up their dogs and kick them in the stomach to train them to be less aggressive. PC YYY told how he was instructed to hang his dog over a wooden wall by its lead then kick the animal as it hung off the ground.  Police say that while the case is horrifying, it is an isolated incident. 

14 02 2003 PC jailed for kicking man. He twice kicked a man as he lay on the ground has been jailed for three months for common assault. Judge XXX said the kicks Dunn delivered to John Hughes' legs went beyond "reasonable force"  - A witness said  the first kick was like a "penalty kick". He added: "That conclusion was reinforced by the shock of bystanders, none of whom could see a reason for the kicks. For a constable to assault a suspect on the ground with his foot is so great a breach of the trust the public reposes in the police.... custody is inevitable.

 

19 09 2002 PC jailed for vicious assault. He was captured on video by an amateur film maker kicking and punching an unresisting person in a street in XXX(June 2001) was convicted at Leeds magistrates' court. District Judge XXXX found PC AAA guilty. I do not believe the force used was reasonable. There was definitely a kick-out, followed by three distinct blows to the face of YYYY moving backwards. On 1 August, 2003 - Judge JJJ sitting at Leeds Crown Court, dismissed the appeal against the conviction, saying the force Empsall used could not be construed as self defence. But he has overturned the original jail term and ordered the PC to do 200 hours community service and pay £2,500 costs.

18 11 1997 PC (32) jailed for six months for assault. He assaulted a reveller at a festival for the homeless - At the Old Bailey he was found guilty of assaulting XXXX by beating him, and of affray. Judge YYY told the Old Bailey. The constable had "a duty to uphold law and order but had instead behaved like "a coward and a bully" when he assaulted Ben XXXX – The PC “had bought shame on himself and disgrace on his profession", a policeman for 10 years.

 

02 11 2000 Sgt (37) convicted of assaulting two sailors in cells. The trial at XX Sheriff Court also heard criticism of two other police officers following the assaults in January 1999. Depute fiscal Mrs YYYY accused WPC XXX of turning a blind eye to certain events.

 

22 12 1998 PC Driver Jailed for two years after breaking a prisoner's neck by deliberately driving erratically. He was taking two prisoners to XXX police station in YYY in a van last year when he made several emergency stops for no reason. GGGG Crown Court heard that he also swerved, throwing two prisoners around in the back of the van. Another PC (Q) spoke out against the PC, he being frightened of him and could not stop his erratic driving, which was why he wrote a false account. Both officers were also convicted of perverting the course of justice by falsifying pocket books and witness statements.

 

21 02 2000 PC (36) charged with assault. The court heard that the 'Controller of CCTV cameras in XXX recorded the incident after observing the arrest of Mr Y and then sent the tape to the Dorset Police, who launched an internal investigation. Criminal proceedings were then started. A CCTV recording of the officer arresting Mr Y and then – Mr R prosecuting, told the court, the PC was "bouncing Mr Y’s head off the back windscreen of his patrol car".

 

05 03 2004 Policeman(44)  attacked two colleagues after he was caught drink-driving has been jailed for six months. An Officer for 27 years  pleaded guilty in January to assaulting Pc X and assaulting Sergeant Y and failing to give a required specimen. A further six police officers were needed to carry the PC into custody in the police station. 

 

17 10 2007 Former PC (38)  spanked his 17-year-old au pair after ordering her to dress up in a school uniform has been found guilty of indecent assault. But Judge XXX said that he would not be sent to jail because the offence was 'not at that level of seriousness'.

 

14 03 2003 PC jailed for attack. He Grabbed AAA by the throat and pinned him to the ground  while his son (27) beat him with a wooden chair leg. The pair then repeatedly punched and kicked Mr AAA as he lay curled up on the floor. Jailing the PC the Judge said: "In your unjustified attack on Mr AAA you caused him very serious injuries with some permanent damage. The son was given a two-year suspended sentence. 28 years as an Officer!.

 

07 06 2002 Two Detectives jailed after torture. Detective Constable X has been  sentenced to seven years in jail after his plans to track down and torture a businessman while Detective Y also from the robbery squad at VVVV police station, has also been jailed for two-and-a-half years. The men also talked of how to dispose of a body, including placing it in a crusher.  A Det Con pleaded guilty to conspiracy to falsely imprison the businessman.

25 11 1999 PC(28) found guilty of headbutting. The PC asked a company director "What are you looking at?" before punching and headbutting him on his left temple, at a public school cheese and wine evening.  David YYY prosecuting, said the Pc caused Mr U bruising to the left eye and the assault exaggerated his tinnitus.

17 12 2001 Prison wardens sacked over death 'joke'. Two warders from Wales's sacked from the first privately-run prison after giving an in-mate a hoax note warning of his family's death. The prisoner at CCC Prison in south Wales, is said to have been distressed by the message which said his entire family had been wiped out in a fire. The pair returned 20 minutes later to explain the claim was a joke.

 

14 02 1999 A person Reports on a system that allows violence, corruption and dishonesty to go unpunished. Two Officers, a PC and WPC – Accessory to Assault. The PC is allowed to resign on a full pension before any disciplinary action was taken. No CRIMINAL CHARGES RECORDED AGAINST the  POLICE OFFICERS. The WPC turned a blind eye while her colleague kicked a young black man as he lay helpless in the back of a van, hands cuffed behind his back.  She also failed to report the assault. The WPC was found guilty at a police disciplinary hearing and if the offence had been tried in a criminal court, she could have been sent to jail, but she only lost five days' pay. The young black man’s crime- protesting at the brutal arrest of his neighbours to which he was then assaulted, arrested, detained, fingerprinted, then charged with affray and obstruction. Charges thrown out when the case against his neighbour collapsed!.

 

16 11 2004 Judge calls detective(50) 'devious'. Det Con XX was convicted of assaulting a former girlfriend and possessing cannabis was told by a judge he was "devious and manipulative". An Officer of 25 years. Judge YYY told him that he would not be jailed, but would be fined. "I regard you as devious and manipulative. I have had the chance to watch you for a number of hours and you are a wriggler" the judge told him.

 

15 12 2001 PC caught on CCTV cameras punching 31-year-old ZZZ three times in the stomach with metal handcuffs clenched in his fist has been found guilty of causing actual bodily harm. A PC for 20 years argued his actions were an accepted technique. The violent assault  was caught on camera and the tape handed into police by hotel security staff. UUUU told the officer he was "bang out of order" but he had replied - Shut up you wittering, drunken women or you will be arrested as well. 

 

18 05 2007 PC jailed after attack on ex-wife. jailed for four months after trying to strangle his ex-wife with the strap of her own handbag. A police officer for 29 years burst into the house in YYYY where his former wife Joanne was staying following their recent divorce. Prosecuting, VVVV told LLLL Crown Court that it was only the thought of their children, two boys aged 12 and five, coming home from school and finding her dead that gave her the strength to fight her ex-husband off.

 

06 07 2001 Metropolitan Police guilty of assault. An innocent bystander was knocked unconscious and whom suffered a fractured skull was a victim of "deliberate unlawful assault". He now suffers from grand mal epilepsy!. The man now seeks £500,000 in costs and damages from the force. The Police then appeal even given CCTV evidence -  Three judges then upheld the first Judges original findings in favour of the innocent man. The mans solicitor said: "It was beyond doubt that this was a vicious, unjustified and unprovoked assault by an officer. CCTV footage showed a riot policeman with his baton raised and shield in front of him approaching the man who then fell backwards to the ground after being hit - The officer ran off. Lord Justice Kay said he had watched the video many times as had the trial judge He said. He reached the conclusion that Mr BBBB was the victim of "a deliberate and unlawful assault."

 

04 09 2001 SIX Prison officers jailed for assault. Other officers at the prison gave evidence for the prosecution. There were ten separate trials but in the end only six other prison officers were found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. 3 prison officers AAA(34), BBB (35) and CCC (26) were  jailed for 18 months, 15 months and 12 months respectively. Three other prison officers DDD(33), EEE(37) and FFF(39) kicked and punched an inmate in a segregation unit - struck him repeatedly and told him he would die. Judge Charles Byers said they placed the inmate in a headlock and taunted him with words such as "Do you know how easy it is to break a neck?" and  "There is going to be another death in custody." The officers then sought to cover their tracks by falsely charging their victim with assaulting them. They also endorsed his record as an inmate who was violent towards prison officers. Judge Byers said: "I can only conclude that  this episode was done for your own bizarre and sadistic entertainment." "You NNN were a senior officer. You could have put a stop to what was going on. You chose not to. " Instead, you joined in. I take the view that if you behave like a vicious thug you will be punished like a vicious thug."

 

15 04 2003 Policeman accused of assaulting a senior officer . He has since been bailed pending further inquiries - and is believed currently to be off work on sick leave - this being after he was fit enough to assault a senior officer!. The victim of the alleged assault was a detective chief inspector from the professional standards department. A Police spokesman issued a statement on Tuesday saying: "A man has been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries following an alleged assault on a police officer at police HQ in VVVV last week.

 

03 07 2003 TWO OFFICERS JAILED IN CORRUPTION CASE. Two of the officer's colleagues admitted burglary and taking 80kg of cannabis. The two were exposed in an anti-corruption probe in 1997 - was also jailed for seven years in 2000, after admitting to a range of offences, including conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and conspiracy to steal. All part of a web of corruption, it was revealed this week.

 

19 04 2001 Prison officer jailed for seven-and-a-half years for trying to supply ecstasy tablets with a street value of £50,000. He wrote down telephone numbers given to him by convicts setting up meetings on the outside the Jail.

 

29 10 2004 Scotland Yard detective jailed. Of 22 years Service recruited his son to pull off a drugs deal. He was admitted conspiracy to supply cannabis and wilful misconduct in a public office.  He was sentenced to two years and three months for the cannabis conspiracy and 18 months for misconduct. Jurors heard conversations were secretly taped in his police car as he promised former XXXX information about a multi-million pound hold-up. They then heard Jones briefing his son about a drugs deal in which he wanted him to buy £425 of cannabis resin from a house linked to the informant and sell it in a pub.

 

00 08 2001 Ten officers jailed on drug charges. Detective Constables AAA (42) and BBB(39) were jailed for three-and-a-half years each for selling "class B" or soft drugs seized during police raids. In February other police officers were jailed in connection with the case. Lieutenant CCC received a  11-year sentence. Detective Sergeant NNN of the force's regional crime squad based in MMM was sentenced to two years in prison for intending to pervert the course of justice.

01 08 2003 Two Police officers fined over drugs. WPC AAA(26) and PC BBB(27) both pleaded guilty before magistrates to possessing class A drugs. They were both fined £500 and ordered to pay £118 costs each, when they appeared in court on Friday. They were arrested at their homes in May and later resigned from their jobs.

00 00 0000 Policeman jailed for drug smuggling. PC AAA was arrested on board a yacht with drugs worth £1.5m has been jailed for seven years. French customs officials said the boat was loaded with 200kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of £1.5m.

 

21 08 2006 Two Officers jailed for drug offences. Admitted possession of cannabis with intent to supply and misconduct in a public office. He was sentenced to 150 hours of community service and fined £500. WPC BBB has been jailed for eight months after admitting possessing cannabis and giving out confidential information. Both were suspended from duty at the time of their arrest in February 2005 and then later resigned from the force.

 

19 04 2006 Prison officer in drug bid jailed. A prison officer(25) who tried to smuggle cannabis to an inmate on his wing has been jailed for two years.  At the time he had £4,000 of credit card debt. He was caught with 991g (35oz) of the drug. Judge VVVV said "The really very sad aggravating feature is that you were a prison officer and your father is a prison governor," he told him.

 

00 11 2002 THREE Officers guilty of drug charges . Det Sgt(42) pleaded guilty at Leicester Crown Court to a charge of supplying cocaine, a count of offering to supply cocaine and two offences of possessing the drug. Detective Constable VVV (40) also admitted a count of possessing cocaine at the address- she was serving as an NCS officer at the time of her arrest on 28 April 2001 - sentenced to 100 hours community service for possession of cocaine. Sergeant PPPP (41) was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment after being found guilty of supplying and being in possession of drugs.The Det Sgt(42) was caught taking cocaine by a hidden video camera secretly installed by police at the home of his girlfriend

 

17 06 2005 Customs man(53) jailed for Drug smuggling. jailed for 15 years for using his position to help smuggle millions of pounds of cocaine into Britain through Gatwick Airport. He received £25,000 in pay-offs to fund a lavish lifestyle a Crown Court heard. He passed on confidential information and  arranged drug runs from the xxx and ushered couriers through Customs. His wife(51) who helped launder the money, has also admitted her part in the operation and was given 180 hours community service. On 1 July 2004 he was videoed guiding two smugglers through the "green channel" at Gatwick. He and wife enjoyed a life of luxury holidays in Egypt and Barbados and spent £40,000 on a plot of land on an island where they hoped to build a home.

31 07 2006 Many jail staff corrupt – A Report by the Metropolitan police and Prison Service's. At least 1,000 prison staff are corrupt, and more than 500 are in "inappropriate relationships" with prisoners, according to a leaked study. The report, by the Metropolitan police and Prison Service's anti-corruption unit, said officers were thought to be smuggling drugs and phones into jails. XX director of the Prison Reform Trust, said corrupt officers undermined the service.

 

11 04 2005 Met police officer(41) helps girl friend run brothels. He was arrested in August 2003 and only resigned last week from the force. He also passed on police intelligence to a <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />London brothel owner who he lived with in luxury. He was only discovered after a disgruntled former employee at one of the brothels told police that VVV boyfriend was a serving policeman. The Crown Court heard how VVV ran four brothels.

13 09 2004 PC (45) drink driver escapes prison again. Over the legal limit FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 3 YEARS. Prosecutor VVV told the court the PC smelled of alcohol on his breath, his eyes were glazed and his speech slurred when they approached his car. When his breath was tested, he was found to be more than double the legal limit. He was sentenced to 100 hours of community service and banned from driving for three years. He had also been fined £5,000 and banned from the road for three years in 1999 for another drink-drive offence. He was not dismissed as a policeman on that occasion after agreeing to enter into a rehabilitation programme.

 

26 10 2006 Two Corrupt officers jailed for leaks. Both (25)(40) jailed after pleading guilty to separately passing data on serious inquiries to suspected criminals. One leaked details of investigations including the murder of XXXXXX whom was shot dead in her shop in 2003.

He passing on top secret information on different cases.  He also revealed the identities of suspects, witnesses and victims involved in other cases, as well as conducting intelligence checks on suspected criminals at their request. He trawled police computer data bases to find information that he supplied to criminals over a two-and-a-half-year period between December 2002 and June last year.

 

27 04 2005 PC(40)  jailed over tip-offs of police enquires. He was trapped as he tried to tip off two associates that detectives were about to question them. He admitted two misconduct charges of inhibiting the effectiveness of a police operation and also pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing illegal ammunition.

 

23 12 2004 Metropolitan Police PC jailed for indecency. He denied gross indecency towards a child, but was found guilty and was jailed for 18 months on Thursday. He was  in touch with the 15yo girl for six months, a court heard. The PC worked in the special firearms squad at NNNN, chatted online with the girl from April 2003, the court heard. He first contacted her on 5 April and was in touch with her again 10 more times before committing the offence on 23 April 2004. The victim told police child abuse experts that V sent her images of himself in uniform and posing with his gun.

15 03 2006 Patrol car sex Pc(32) spared prison. Cheshire police officer for 7 years had sex with his mistress, in the back of a patrol car while on duty in August 2002 has been given 200 hours community service. He was found guilty of misconduct in public office.

 

00 00 0000 Chief Constable resigns after his handling of a speeding ticket issued to a prominent councilor. By resigning proceedings will not now be pursued. He was suspended from duty on full pay 17 months ago, after claims were made against him by his deputy and assistant chief constables. The initial allegations against the Chief Constable had already been investigated. The Crown Prosecution Service had ruled out criminal charges.

 

17 04 1999 TWO police officers jailed after admitting having sex while on duty with a mother-of-three at her home after she had been the victim of an assault on a night out. Each received a 15 month jail sentence. Surrey's assistant chief constable said after the sentencing that investigations into the incident had revealed that it was not a "one-off act".  In one previous incident involving VVV two drunk teenage girls were handcuffed together in the back of a police car in which VVV and a fellow officer all kissed each other and VVV touched one of the teenagers intimately.

14 03 2007 Pc(49) jailed for French fine scam. An Officer for 30 years tried to dodge a speeding fine by claiming a Frenchman was driving his vehicle has been jailed for nine months. He thought the speeding offence would be ignored if a foreign national was driving. He was clocked at 38mph in a 30mph zone near his home. Sentencing him, Judge VVVVsaid: "This is a tragedy. It's a tragedy for the police force for which you had served for 30 years and a tragedy for the public, which expects the highest standards from its police officers."

26 09 2000 Three PC’s required to resign after being found guilty of discipline charges of abuse of authority and falsehood. A man(31) witnessed an incident involving police and offered to be a witness. The police then followed the witness to his home address, where he was falsely arrested. The remaining two charges result from officers submitting statements containing fabricated evidence  and neglecting to attend the complainant's trial. NO Names of the police officers given

23 08 1999 Perverting the course of justice, Drink or Drugs charges -  Assault - Arson - False insurance claim (1) Assaulting AAA(39) and trying to pervert the course of justice by submitting false witness statements about him in December 1996. Assaulting BBB(33) with his police issue baton in the town in December 1996. (3) Also making up statements in the names of other officers, a court has been told.  A Sergeant said the statement in his name was not written by him!.  Another PC (34) also told the court that a statement in his name was inaccurate. Giving evidence at the Officers trial the Sergeant said he could see no reason why the PC had arrested AAA. The CPS  as usual had tried to continue with the false conviction of an innocent man. The PC had earlier admitted a series of charges relating to traffic offences and insurance fraud while on suspension from the force. He also admitted abandoning his car, and setting it on fire and then making a false insurance claim. 

 

16 03 2000 Perverting the course of justice – PC(28) drink drive officer lied after crash. He was jailed for two months. The constable crashed his car into a roundabout after drinking 12 pints of strong Stella lager at a friend's leaving party. Then he rang his own station and claimed his Rover Coupe had been stolen. But two colleagues had spotted him walking away from the scene of the accident 40 minutes earlier!. The Crown Court heard that the PC stuck to his story through two police interviews before finally breaking down and confessing. 

 

31 01 2007 PC(42) lying to a judge to save his lover from a prison sentence. A Policeman for 16 years is jailed for 2 years after found guilty of committing acts tending or intending to pervert the course of justice. He lied to protect his drug-dealing lover by altering his statements about her and lied in court, enabling her to avoid a conviction for supplying class A drugs and instead she was charged with the lesser crime of possession.

 

09 06 2003 Detective Constable  admits internet scam. Faced the sack after he admitted copying and selling counterfeit music CD's, DVD's and computer games - he escaped a prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to six offences under the trademark and copyright acts. Fining him £,500 with £985 costs, chair of the bench told him: "As a serving police officer you should have known better."

 

18 02 2005 WPC(32) jailed for harassment claim. Found guilty of perverting the course of justice - She made up a series of incidents to make it look as if she was being harassed by a colleague - jailed for two-and-a-half years. She cut her own Brake Pipes which sparked a murder bid inquiry. As an officer for 12 years she staged three burglaries at her OWN home, later returning the "stolen" property to herself via internal police mail, accompanied by threatening letters, said a Det Supt. She was arrested in March 2003 when she was caught by police scratching the word "die" into the paintwork of her car. 14 July, 2005 - Appeal against conviction - Appeal Courtjudges ruled her sentence should be cut to a year after hearing she had been attacked while in jail.

 

00 00 0000 PC arrested an innocent man in order to inflate his record of arrests. He claimed a man had elbowed him in the head but video evidence proved that this did not take place. The PC whom is known for his reckless acts of violence against the public has repeatedly approached local newspapers with public relations stories about himself in order to win favor with the board of adjudicators who nominate officers for awards in the community. Another Police officer, a colleague, also perjured himself  by supporting the Pc’s elbow allegation. They get away with it with magistrates court and this teaches them that their uniform is a useful tool in perpetrating lies and perjury.

 

22 12 2005 PC(45) jailed for lying in cover-up. He attempted to help a lover caught stealing from a supermarket, a Crown Court heard. He pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice at an earlier hearing – he was sentenced to four months while his lover was sentenced to two months in prison. After the Supermarket theft he then carried out a "sham" interview allowing her to give false details so she would escape having a police record. 

 

27 02 2003 Perverting the course of justice. A PC had earlier been cleared of indecently assaulting a teenage girl in the back of his patrol car. The married police constable told XXX that the 17-year-old had consented to performing the sex act in return for a lift home late at night. Come the 27 February, 2003 - Again a girl was sexually assaulted in his police car, but this time he didn't get away with it!. jailed for 18 months for perverting the course of justice he was dismissed from his duties. The PC was convicted of perverting the course of justice – he admitting to the faking a blackmail note from the teenager to discredit her allegations. He vandalized his own car and left a funeral director's notice on it - he pleaded guilty to the charge on an earlier occasion!!!.  During sentencing, Judge XXX said: "………………., you are a disgrace to the police force.. You involved yourself in sexual conduct with a young girl in a police car while on duty”. 

 

13 08 2004 Det Con - Conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He a false alibi when he was accused of downloading child porn on the internet - Jailed at the Old Bailey for eight months. The Det Con lied to police by saying he was with CPS Crown Prosecution Service case worker in Cambridgeshire when the images were taken and that he did not have his computer with him.  The police officer had told police he was 100 miles away from his laptop when the images were put on his laptop on 9 June 2002. But telecommunications expert XXX said that XXX’s mobile phone had registered itself as in use with cell sites around YYYY eight times on 8 June and once on 9 June. "There is no chance whatsoever that his phone was in the Cambridgeshire area," he told the court.  JJJJ, of the CPS gave a statement to police supporting the alibi. She was jailed for six months, suspended for two years for the same offence.

 

00 08 1998 superintendent retires however guilty on two counts of conspiracy of producing thousands of counterfeit compact discs. The stall was run by his son(30) and bbb(24) both of whom pleaded guilty to the charges. At the height of the operation, the trio were selling an average of 600 to 700 counterfeit CDs at a profit of £2,000.

 

00 00 0000 Detective Constable - Conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He assisted XXX in winning custody of his son. XXX had hired a private detective to plant a significant quantity of cocaine in a car belonging to his estranged wife. The plan was to get her sent to prison, leaving the child in the father's sole care. The Det Con, a long-time cocaine addict  who moonlighted for Law and Commercial, had agreed to assist the plot by passing false information to local police XXX’s wife was involved in high-level cocaine dealing. The Det Con fed his own drug habit by regularly stealing drugs during raids. 

30 05 2003 PC(40) convicted of Perjury. He lied on Oath and then told  by a judge that he has disgraced himself and the force will now be sacked by Gwent Police. He was found guilty at an earlier hearing of telling a "deliberate lie" during the trial of a man on a public order offence.

00 00 0000 PC tried to frame a driver for an accident which never took place. jailed for two years. The Old Bailey heard that after shouting "very British obscenities" at the driver the PC submitted an entirely bogus police accident report. It resulted in an innocent man being summoned for driving without due care and attention and failing to report an accident. The prosecution said XXX left space to allow the PC in, but the officer chose to drive alongside, trying to force Mr XXX car into the kerb, while waving his fists and shouting "get a life and bastard - that sort of thing". Mr XXX drove on, but when traffic ground to a halt, the PC got out of his car and started banging on the Cavalier's roof "shouting what might be described as very British obscenities". "Mr XXX thought he was dealing with a madman and as soon as the traffic started, he drove off!. When the PC went on duty the following day he falsely reported Mr XXXX vehicle being involved in a collision with a Dutch-registered Sierra driven by a Frenchman.". (One more innocent man falsely accused could have been jailed by the word of a police thug)

 

Racist Behaviour.

 

21 06 2000 PC(42) guilty of threatening/insulting words/behaviour which were racially aggravated. fined £500 with £300 costs. The PC pushed his nose down and made racial insults to Ms XXX at a charity police quiz night in November, the Court heard. The wife of the police officer gave evidence in support of the complaint against him. 

 

26 07 2001 2001David Calvert-Smith the DPP Director of Public Prosecutions, said he accepted charges that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is "institutionally racist". Mr Calvert-Smith the was speaking after the publication on Thursday of two reports which highlighted widespread racial discrimination in the CPS.

08 03 2004 PC will not face a criminal prosecution after a PC on a police training course when the BBC documentary entitled The Secret Policeman, recorded him making a string of racist comments and saying Hitler had the "right ideas" and wearing a mock Ku Klux Klan hood. The PC was described as "a disgrace" by his own force after the documentary, secretly filmed by a BBC journalist, showed him acting in an overtly racist manner. He was heard criticizing the only Asian recruit on the training course and when asked during the filming if he was capable of killing an Asian man he replied: "I've got it in me... it's a hatred thing.". No charges against a further nine officers recorded on the BBC documentary!. The Crown Prosecution Service said that no charges would be brought against a total of nine officers who resigned as a result of the programme but none charged with any criminal offences. The infamous police statement of "insufficient evidence" from Greater Manchester Police on Monday said None of the nine officers who resigned were to face criminal charges because of "insufficient evidence" against them.  In English law racist comments are unlawful but once again the police are protected by the police and the CPS .

 

28 11 1994 Mr XXX (30) murdered in being bundled into a police cell with a paranoid schizophrenic. Within hours of the cell door closing he was dead. His head smashed to a pulp by YYYY (32) a paranoid schizophrenic with a 15-year history of violence and recognized a month earlier as 'capable of killing'. XXXX’s ear was ripped off as he was kicked and beaten to death by YYYY in a remand cell at Chelmsford Prison in Essex. PCA detective officers leading the investigation into Mr XXXX’s death failed to interview and take statements from several potential witnesses. Then the PCA Inquiry dismissed 13 other allegations made by the parents including their insistence that detectives lied that their son and YYYY had asked to share a cell. The injuries were so severe that he had to be identified by dental records!.

 

21 03 2000 petty theft 19-year-old first offender bludgeoned to death with a table leg by his psychopathic cellmate XXXX. 5th Oct 2001 Mr Justice Hooper ordered the home secretary, David Blunkett, to hold a public inquiry into the "systemic failures" which led to the death. There was no inquiry. It brings great shame on the Home Office for trying to conceal these failings from the public's scrutiny. 30 June 2006 XXXX played a supporting role in the murder of another prisoner by his best mate and other horrific behaviour, nobody was really asking what he would do next. Prison Officer HHHH denied that prison officers at the jail had organised cells to maximise the chances of fights taking place. Allegations of "gladiator" confrontations between white and black prisoners emerged. Prison Officer HHHH said she had no recollection of specific warnings about Stewart being dangerous.  In an earlier statement prison officer JJJ said he had warned HHHH about XXXX. In 2001, the Home Office offered £20,000 in compensation, but raised it to £25,000 to reflect inflation, Channel 4 News reported. XXXX(20) was sentenced to life for battering NNNN around the head with a table leg at LLL Young Offenders Institution in west London. The governor at the Prison was headhunted to try and turn around the failing prison and shortly after the death he was promoted!.

 

26 02 2002 Police Complaints Authority deputy chairman, Ian Bynoe said "I can understand why individual complainants can have little or no confidence in a system, which from their perspective seems to be largely controlled and regulated by the police, and which has a tiny number of people who have to deal with thousands of cases a year." . The PCA -- police -- and CPS -- are like the 3 monkeys. I hear no evil ... I see no evil ... I say nothing to charge police

 

00 00 0000 The PCA do not question people who can prove that your complaint is correct. A Manchester Man complained to the PCA that he had been assaulted by a plain-clothed British Transport policeman at Euston station. After a two-year investigation his complaint was not upheld and he decided to sue the police in the civil courts. Only then did he discover that .... a witness who supported his allegations had not been questioned by the PCA officers investigating his complaint.  Police Complaints Authority deputy chairman, Ian Bynoe admitted that the case "was a mistake". He has also demanded an explanation from the deputy chief constable of the British Transport Police who carried out the investigation into the complaint on behalf of the PCA.
