Great Stuff , I dont know why everytime someone try to do the right thing there is so much opposition. There has been misery killing and brutal atrocities in that region. If someone is trying to address that and trying to bring som peace in the region they are criticized.I believe its a commendable effort by Canada and The Human Right Groups to try to fix that region, Govt of Canada does not work with people with alterior motives , this is not third world.Comendable effort!!

"...community leaders to represent their own interests....." Justifiably, this is what they should be doing. Canada surely have their own interests to deal with rather than waste time with some other nation's internal affairs, just because some miscreants (who once hoodwinked them and got political asylum) abuse the democracy and play havoc on the streets !!! My guess is that, they are discussing how to deport those hooligans back to Sri Lanka !!!!!!!!!

Good one Rifadh. But, I don't think Sri Lanka needs those hooligans back here.

The problem here is, whenever the LTTE is not represented, its supporters make a big hue and cry. Look at the bigger picture.
Is this also a closed door affair? Wouldn't all like to know what the suggestions are?

The main question would be who are the community leaders ?
There are many that pretend to parade as community leaders to represent their own interests, then there are ones that got the collective community intererest in their minds. That representation will make the ultimate difference.

Quick, get some LTTE supporting community leaders to join this group. Preferably, somebody named Arthur. He can then head the round table.
That table looks rectangular to me!!! :-)
