Shortly after 6 seconds, WLS radio host Erich 'Mancow' Muller signaled Marine Sergeant Clay South, who handled the waterboarding demonstration, that he had had enough.
Stating he had wanted to prove waterboarding was not torture Mr. Muller stated, "It is such an odd feeling to have water poured down your nose with your head back...It was instantaneous...and I don't want to say this: absolutely torture."
Sergeant South stated the average time a person withstood waterboarding was 14 seconds.

Sean Hannity said last month that he was willing to be waterboarded to raise money for charity. Hannity has yet to follow through on his promise and, thus far, no plans appear to be in the works.

I didn't realize it had been a month, Jon!
Keith Olbermann of MSNBC pledged he would donate money for every second Sean Hannity endured being waterboarded.
As of the morning that Erich 'Mancow' Muller submitted to waterboarding, Mr. Olbermann called off his challenge to Mr. Hannity, donating $10,000 to Veterans of Valor, an organization founded by Sgt. Clay South, the marine who waterboarded Mr. Muller.

Waterboarding is torture? So what if it is? I bet it's alot less painful than decapitation though! Some say waterboarding is torture and some say it's not. But whom are we to believe? The Democrats? The Republicans? The waterboarding issue wouldn't even be an issue if one political party didn't think that they could use it to score political points. Why are we so concerned, anyway, with the types of interrogation techniques used on terrorists that have proven themselves to be terrorists over and over again? If waterboarding is not an effective means of interrogation fine. Then let's try something else that is, in fact, effective . . . .

Obama has a big problem with Guantanamo. He signed an excutive order on Day One of his presidency without a viable plan. He had to reinstate the military tribunals. In the last 120 days the realities of the oval office have hit him square in the face. Even the Democratic Congress would not give him the money to close GITMO without a plan. I suspect with mid term elections next year, there will be a lot more of that.
As far as this torture issue goes, we get it. One side calls it torture, the other Enhanced Interrogation. We also know at this point that senior people in Congress (both Democrats and Republicans) were briefed on these measures and chose not to object. Nancy Pelosi last week had another brilliant press conference where she refused to answer questions on this issue. To keep beating this issue to death, doesn.t move it forward. The Justice Department was told to look into it by the President. Let's see what they come up with.
Trying to disbar lawyers because they rendered an opinion is way over the top. One has to ask what the aim is here.

Thanks, Rhonda.
The other article didn't pop up when I published. Most often, titles appear that I find mystifying, with me straining to see a connection! :)

You are very welcome, Karen. I have come across the problem myself:).
