Governor Christie made the right the decision. There is no sense in his cobbling the Republicans any further. He needs to demonstrate first that he can govern the State of New Jersey.

A presidential run would probably killed him..He's ripe for a heart attack in that condition.

According to you guys he's done the right thing. Yet you two still got to sneak in a slam at his expense. LOL. How PC liberal of you both.

First, he agreed that he needs to complete a successful term as governor and not quit 20 months into the term like Sarah Palin did. Big difference, Christie is a sharp guy with integrity, Sarah was under investigation and is a quitter.
Second, he is a government employed lawyer who has no other experience. Even if he completes his term as governor, he lacks private sector CEO experience and military experience.
Third, like it or not, health matters. He is obese and that is not good when you go into high stress jobs, even as governor.
I listened to him and he makes sense. He is not ready, in his own words.

I'll second that as far as what Christie says..His reasons to me for not running sounded weak though. Especially after he said his family would be all for him running if he wanted. Staying governor of New Jersey is a far cry from being asked to be President of the United States. This "it's not my time" was a cop-out imo.
On a side note, I can't believe the luck Romney is having with the Perry debate debacle, Perry racist accusations, and now Christie not running..Romney is running through a mine field unscathed so far..lol

Chris Christie is upholding my standard that you should complete the job in office and demonstrate success before moving on.
Romney will likely become the default President. The only other shot would be for Donald to jump in at will.

More problems for Perry..
Perry gave millions in tax dollars to banks as their subprime lending boomed

"Perry, a Republican candidate for the White House, did what any governor would want to do: bring in jobs for his state. He also supported a cap on how much consumers could borrow against their homes, which experts credit for softening the blow of the mortgage crisis in Texas: by the end of 2008, more than 22 states had a greater percentage of foreclosures." - And he didn't just give the money to the Banks. He gave the money to subsidize the loans to reduce the foreclosures so people could keep their homes. - Thank goodness those more than 22 other State Governors aren't running. We'd have to give Perry the Nobel prize. LOL. Obama got one for showing up. Or was that for doubling our debt during his first year in office. Or bailing out the banks. Or maybe it was for enlarging the federal government by 30%. Or maybe it was for starting two more wars before we had finished with the two we were already engaged in at a couple a billion a day. Hey, I know. let's chant. All together now. "Republicans are evil". LOL.

Republicans are evil. Yes they are.
