Corvino Santa Shooting a Revenge Killing After Bitter Divorce

Revenge appears to be the motive in the Corvino Santa shootings. Bruce Jeffrey Pardo is believed to have committed his heinous crime after his marriage of 1 year ended in a bitter divorce that was settled last week.

Police say that Pardo was angry at his ex-wife and that the brutal murders were a revenge killing. Pardo dressed up in a Santa suit to get close to his ex-wife's parents' home in Corvino California. The family was giving an annual Christmas party for friends and neighbours and many children were in attendance.
Pardo's first victim is believed to be an 8-year old girl whom he shot in the face after she rushed to the door to let Santa in the house. He then opened fire on the guest shooting blindly into the home before starting a fire. The house was engulfed in flames making it difficult to identify the bodies or assertain an accurate cause of death.
Pardo's ex-wife and her parents are still unaccounted for, it is feared that their bodies will be among those found in the charred remains of the home.
Stinging from an acrimonious divorce, a man plotting revenge against his ex-wife dressed up like Santa, went to his former in-laws' Christmas Eve party and slaughtered at least six people before killing himself hours later.Three people were listed as missing after Bruce Pardo's rampage — his ex-wife and her parents — and it was feared their remains were among the ashes of the home, which Pardo set ablaze using a bizarre homemade device that sprayed flammable liquid.
Pardo, 45, had no criminal record and no history of violence, according to police, but he was angry following last week's settlement of his divorce after a marriage that lasted barely a year.

Maybe those Divorces should not be tried any where near December and may need mandatory counselling for the parties involved in order to avoid such tragedies.

i understand the motive for Bruce Pardo to harm his ex-wife (but not kill her), so what did the others do? people just gathered to celebrate christmas, they had absolutely nothing to do with the divorce.

Good point Paschen. Ruzanna - in spite of the difficulties of the divorce process - how can you pretend to 'understand the motive to harm' an ex. For all any of us know - his ex-wife could be as innocent as the rest of the people and he. This guy deliberately chose to try to wipe out as many people as he possibly could - simply because of their association with his ex-wife. The only good thing about the situation is that he killed himself and therefore the rest of humanity won't be bombarded with the minute by minute media updates giving him and his heinous crime more publicity as a trial looms. My prayers are with all of those family, friends, and neighbors affected by this and other acts of violence.

HE is a sicko, so you are mad at your ex-wife, you have to shot a child in the face for no reason because you are upset over money. That poor child is going to hate Christmas forever. I feel very bad for the family and I am praying for them.

I think the poor girl is probably dead after being shot in the face.F**king physco.. it wouldn't be AS bad if he had killed just his wife, but innocent children and members of her family.
Glad he killed himslef TBH, i hope it hurt.
