Of course Medicare age is in play

Are they brain dead?

On what planet is the President and Congress residing. Americans don’t mind 1) adjusting the retirement age to match actuaries and 2) adjusting qualification to means testing.

These are reasonable adjustments. What is unreasonable is abandonment and change without sufficient notification and time to plan.

There is nothing disgraceful about people needing assistance at a certain point in life. There is something very wrong with a government and society that is insensitive to the needs of elderly, disabled, and poor.

As we live longer our stupid has a greater effect on the taxpayers ability to support the services. Drugs, alcohol, smoking, overeating, fat laden fast foods and a lack of exercise are wreaking havoc upon our society as we tumble down the road of instant gratification. And hey people! Just cuz ya pay taxes that don't give your stupid actions a pass, and running to emergency every time ya get a scratch ain't helping either. Idiots. Come on folks ya gotta do your part too to reduce the costs. Ya can't always be shout'n for the govemint to solve your problems.

It is our government and we address some of our needs through that means. Public service announcements have helped curb smoking and Obama wants to attack sugar products aimed at children too. However, Republicans like fat kids.

Republicans like fat whiny liberal kids. They make that nice crackle you used to get on pork before it went all chemical feed. Organic fat whiny liberal kid. I gotta make me up some stickers and spoof the local chain stores meat dept.. :-). I don't know what you're smokin' but, factually; public service has done ziltch in the way of halting new smokers or big fat assed kids. In the latest studies [real science] on the adolescent brain; tobacco has been determined to be THE gateway drug. And there are suggestions in the way in which tobacco works on the adolescent brain that it's use may open the door to other addictions due to the affected centers of the brain that process "gratification" and release the corresponding adrenal neurotransmitters. Correspondingly, high carb foods and high sucrose drinks can create the same "gratification", release of the same adrenal neurotransmitters, and hold the same addiction. Kids on natures crack. With the same down side. Depression, suicide attempts, ADHD. etc. etc. How many fingers you got? Not enough.
